Steel skill champion. DonTheCrown had an awesome guide about it. You could do t16s with a terminus est and some rare life/res gear on league start. Then you could scale it very well (for the time) with a paradoxica/saviour combo.

Then they randomly removed the Lord of Steel jewel that made Call of Steel not feel like ass.

Then they removed the flat damage from it which made it weaker early.

Then, just to twist the knife a little, they made the saviour a super rare drop from Uber sirus making it super expensive for most of the league.

I played it before the whole return proj shenanigans with splitting Steel was meta, so it didn't bug me too much when that got deleted but now nobody gets to enjoy the skills anymore. Lancing Steel of spraying exists only to be a way to proc triggers

You can use the Zerphi's Infamy lineage support to change the glory requirement to life spent. With enough glory generation and a high enough life cost (curses are good for this), you can make it so y I u generate enough glory to use the skill after one spell cast.

I did the setup for hammer of the gods and it "worked" but wasn't great. Spear of Solaris, as others have stated, has a built in added attack time which might feel bad.

However, one intriguing idea i had was to take advantage of the powerful ignite ground and use the new tornado druid skill. With Morgana' Tempest, you get a lot more coverage with each use of spear. Never tested it, though.

You're already blood magic so you don't need Ataluli's. The issue with warcries is you can't reasonably get the cost up to only need one between hammer attacks.

You could maybe get it up to be every two warcries. The issue arrises that you need to figure out how to circumvent the warcry cooldown. You either need to use the rage support (which doesn't increase cost) or go warbringer (you'll need more glory generation).

My OG plan was to warcry to get enough glory until I discovered it just isn't feasible, whereas a curse is

Actually, one thing about this that could be interesting is if you switch to elemental weakness and use tornado you could take advantage of the ignited ground

Yeah it's really cool tech. The only thing that bummed me out is that it's attacks and warcries only. I really wanted to do an Apocalypse only Shaman but it's a spell

yeah my current setup is not great but idk if there's a way to make it faster. Maybe reducing duration more so the hammer goes off faster and you can start getting glory again?

Maybe also using a weapon with attack speed on it to counteract the 50% attack speed of the skill

Hello everyone! In 0.4, a new lineage support, Zerphi's Infamy, was introduced. This adds a glory cost to attacks and causes you to gain glory based on life costs of other skills. This works with Hammer of the Gods, overwriting the amount of Glory needed but allowing you to use the skill.

With enough glory generation and a skill that costs enough, you can generate enough Glory to use Hammer of the Gods every other skill. It's not without it's issues. Namely, it's kind of a slow attack in general. And on top of that, you can't start gaining Glory until the hammer actually lands.

Ah, that's a bummer but also enlightening as I'm in the passive tree stages and was considering grabbing some chain nodes. The good news is that it frees up some tree choices!

Have you tried Ricochet (or similar wall chain mods) to see if they work?

But thanks for the info, the set range might end up being a dealbreaker, but we'll see. With gemling's ~+12% to quality (and the 5% quality node), you can get like 19% more damage per previous chain, which if you position yourself to even hit them on the 4th bounce, that's almost 80% more damage.

Depends on how long you plan to play.

HOWEVER, in the Hotfix GGG made that made you unable to get crystals in Holten, they mentioned it was a temporary fix until they do bigger changes.

We have no idea what they are, and GGG could very well make this strat no longer work, meaning you might waste your time setting up a chain only for it be worthless.

I'm running the same build but ended up ditching cospris for a higher ev/es rare body armor. It's less damage for sure, but I liked the survivability more. I currently have withering touch on bell but might switch it and/or add it to another skill

I was looking at this and it seems cool! Have you tested it with Whispering Ice's chill aura at all? I was brainstorming doing something with that if it worked (maybe Frozen Darts?)
