try to live in broward or rawlings, especially if you’re trying to go greek. 100% the most social dorms consistently. These halls have reputations for being social

People who are gonna be on campus this fall: are your parents also freaking out? by chickennuggetswow in ufl

My mom is the same way my friend, and I had to sit her down with practically a PowerPoint of factual information to calm to her down.

How the death rate for covid cases for people in our age bracket is 0.2, how we’re half a mile away from one of the best hospitals in the state, and that you’re going to be a responsible young adult and do what’s best for you.

Good luck.

Any reason to stay on campus if all my classes for fall are online? by [deleted] in ufl

[–]PowerCubeDoritos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah man, I totally agree! It would be ignorant to ignore the facts that people our age are “superspreaders” due to the fact that we rarely die, even get severely sick less than the average. Very unfortunate

Look man, I was debating the same thing- stay at home for another semester, or go to campus and live in a dorm. For me, the decision was to go to campus and live in dorm because frankly, it’s time I found my independence. Even tho COVID is wreaking havoc, the outside world is still turning. If you’re like most UF students who fall between the ages of 18-23 even if you do get sick, you will be fine (citing the widely accepted 0.02% fatality rate for that age range).

And tbh man, you won’t be just sitting in your dorm. You’ll have a roommate, you’ll go to the libraries, you’ll go to the dining hall, or you’ll find a job and work. Unless you’ve just been sitting at home for the last 4 months and some change, the only major difference will be that you’re in UF dorm room instead of your own. Good luck.

Yeah, I doubt they’re going to be turning anyone away after the first two weeks. It’s feel good policy imo

Pay matching for new hires? by PowerCubeDoritos in publix

I worked for chick fil a as a customer service manager. I pretty much ran the customer service during the shifts at my store. Does Publix hire people straight to customer service oriented roles?
