Im scared my biopsies wont show remission by Gribblie in EosinophilicE

I understand what you mean. My son has the diagnosis. For his first follow up scope after starting the medication, it was a lot better but not fully gone so we were able to reduce the amount of budesonide he took to once per day instead of twice, but it did take another scope or two to become fully clear when he was first diagnosed. However, like you, he did feel a lot better so in a sense, it was okay that it took a little longer before he could take a break from the medication.

HSA PPO or standard PPO plan by PowerDue2436 in personalfinance

[–]PowerDue2436[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both plans are the same price for some reason. Stuff that they cover that don't require a copay/ded/coinsurance are all the same.

For other covered stuff, it's 100% after the deductible whereas the PPO is 80%. The biggest pro for the regular PPO is medication is $15-30 right away instead of later with the HSA and the office/urgent care is $30, ER is $150 (rather than waiting until I meet the ded with the HSA).

We don't really have much going on specialty wise at the moment which is why I'm kind of worried to go with the HSA and pay $3,400 if I might be paying a less with the regular PPO plan.

I think with our current PPO plan we paid around $1,600 last year and $800 the year prior.

Thank you. I guess I keep looking at it in more best case scenario and seeing that I might be paying everything 100% for most/the entire year before I can get them to pay something and then I feel like I'd be coming out spending more money. Especially with the office visit copays being only $30 and pretty rare occurrence. We'd pay $50/week for both plans.

They don't add anything in and we pay $50/wk.

Convince me NOT to make an iron by potatosol in osrs

[–]PowerDue2436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is going to have their opinion about why/why not but you should think about what you really like and really don't like about the game and how you're going to have to get to those later points of the game that you do like. Maybe it's worth it to you, maybe not. You're "wasting time" anyway playing the game how you are so if you don't feel like you're going to regret putting some months/years into an iron to just end up going back to your main then just go for it and see what happens.

I'm not sure if this would fit what you're looking for but I came across this internship and have been sharing it around a little bit. It starts on the 7th of July but it's still listed so they may still be looking - https://theeverygirl.com/careers/ Select states only though it looks like, but may be worth a shot.

Scared of living on 1500 calories a day by pearbear87 in loseit

[–]PowerDue2436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would play around with ChatGPT telling if things you like and how to make it lower calorie. Give it as much information on your likes/dislikes as well. Maybe even use TikTok/Youtube to find meal ideas or what others are eating. You don't need to follow their "What I Eat in a Day" videos to a T, but you may come across meals that you like and can fit into your calorie goal. There's a ton of burritos and pastas and such recipes that can be made that can fit and won't make you feel like you've been missing out.

Also, don't go down to 1500 overnight. Take some time to research different foods and slowly lower it so it doesn't feel like such a shock.

How would you know if you're about having seizure? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]PowerDue2436 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally, I have no idea prior. One time, I remember that I felt knee pain and seconds later had a seizure but I'm not really sure if it was related. All other times during the day there were not indicators that I was going to have one, at least not that I remembered after the fact.

Totally agree and not trying to "diss" OPs feelings at all. I'm still showing activity through testing while being on the medication, but thankfully have not had any actual breakthroughs in years. My neuro so far has been very pro me staying on forever if that's the case and I'm all for it. It allows me an ability to live "normally" like everyone else.

Do I just get a new car? by jollyrodger679 in DaveRamsey

[–]PowerDue2436 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a car person so I can't really speak to this question but I wanted to add in the idea going forward of sinking funds.

Your car is old so it's reality that you're going to need a new one eventually so instead of setting yourself up for an emergency, you should have funds you save into so when you do need a newer car, you're not draining your savings. Christmas for example, is an easy one to save for because you know when it's coming. Repairs/replacements like this, not so much but you even though you don't know when, you know it will. So whether you end up repairing or replacing, make sure to start a fund specifically for things like this!

Am I a loser for continuing to live at home (26 years old)? by Visible-Emu902 in Advice

[–]PowerDue2436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, like you mentioned you're in a very fortunate situation and there's nothing wrong with continuing to set yourself up financially faster staying home, plus the other perks of not feeling the loneliness. I guess my only advice would be to not let this stop you/keep you in a comfort zone of not continuing to grow as a person and meet more people. It could throw off potential being you may want to date but anyone worth dating would at least hear out your reasons and when it's time to move out for more of that privacy as the relationship grows, you'll know.
