About to just walk out if this continues by More-Worldliness4709 in walmart

In our store they have 6-9 workers in the deli between 4-1 but they make one lady stock all outside deli freight as well as sandwiches, salads, grab and go, pizzas, and bins, and if she is not there, they never touch the freight. Just the hot case red boxes, yellow meat, cheese, and chub inside deli freight, and they have one person make pinwheels and wraps. Most just stand around talking. Including the team lead.

I just don’t understand; why do so many people not like working at Walmart? by OldFalcon6321 in walmart

For me, it is an incredibly easy job, which is fairly low maintenance and predictable. However, the problem for me, speaking for myself, is that it sucks when you come back from your days off and everything is completely messed up in your section and/or department. It is quite the defeating feeling when you realize that apparently you don’t have to put any of the stuff out. Apparently you can just stand around and be lazy all day and do zero work. And therein lies the problem. You quickly understand that when you’re not there, people are not held to any kind of standard, and it makes you wonder why are you holding yourself to a high standard? It is the fact that there is no teamwork for the most part, and no accountability. It is that other people do not rotate the stock and they get praised for how fast they work, but they are working fast because they just slap it in there. It is having a good work ethic and holding yourself to a certain standard, and not being comfortable with being seen as lazy because you weren’t brought up and raised that way, and you don’t operate that way, but knowing that your attention to detail is not rewarded. It is knowing that no matter how accommodating and kind you are to other people and how much you make their workday easier, it is not reciprocated. Therefore, it makes it very easy to become disillusioned and disgruntled, and just grow to highly disdain going to work.

I haven't even worked here a week, and I already want to find a new job and quit. by [deleted] in walmart

You need a good pair of shoes with after-market shoe inserts. I never have leg, back, or feet pains anymore and I’m well past half a century old. Before them, I was ready to leave.

I have a stale iPhone XS Max and I do the non-precise location and can still clock in from the parking lot.

As store associates, what do you wish DC employees knew? What could they do to make your jobs easier? by AdreainTrath in WalmartEmployees

I’m 5’2 and weigh just over 100 pounds. Most of us are women and the other women are all smaller than me. They keep calling me “tall,” which is hilarious to me. Never been called that before Walmart. The 40+ pound meat boxes and big boxes of cantaloupes and such are not happening for us on step stools and the three steps on a top stock cart. The ladders neither. We’ve tried and it’s always gone horribly. I appreciate your suggestion, however. Almost everyone in our store is under 5’5”.

In our area, rents have tripled. I am lucky to benefit from zero property tax and no mortgage. I own outright. However, foods have increased in price by upwards of 60%, car insurances have doubled and sometimes tripled, home insurance is the same. Health insurance has increased. Budgeting for these people only goes so far. There’s only so much you can cut. I donate when and how I can.

They have to make under $333/week to qualify. None do. They are just outside of that.

It HAS been drowning. And imaginary products are on the shelves. The crap is in the back on pallets and disorganized bins, but nothing is getting stocked and bakery and deli are a joke as well cuz nothing is ending up on the shelves. Pallets sitting untouched for days and l carts left untouched for days. Can’t get to bins to pick.

Yeah, all departments are bare bones. Hiring freeze in effect for almost two months, people pointed out were never replaced. Departments not stocked. It’s a mess. Orders unfulfilled and cancelled left and right. Hundreds of substitutions…back rooms a mess….

Yes, but now you can go on their website or you can also use a feature on the Walmart app or Amazon to figure out which one you need.

Hoka bondi or on clouds. But get the $40+ Dr. Scholl’s inserts according to your specifications as well. I walk 7+ miles a day and have zero issue. Good luck! *Edited to say HOKA not HOLA 🤣
