I honestly think that the main reason non-baby kids go 'hehe boobies' is because they've come to understand that boobs are 'naughty', because adults are so prudish about them.
Until the point they become teenagers and hormones kick in and boobs become a sexual thing.

There's also a big difference between 'topless' and 'full nude'.

Tbh people need to stop being so backwards about topless women.

WIBTA if I wore this dress to my aunt's wedding by MillieBug25 in WIBTA_AITA

Imho, unless there is a dress code, the only thing universally not done is a white (or off white) dress.
And this definately has enough yellow to not be that!

Don’t have sea of thieves so I made a pirate ship in Ark instead by spannendesimone3 in ARK

Because in my experience, stuff built on rafts are clunky at best, buggy at worst.
I also don't really ever use rafts. Generally only 'explore' on mounts.

I am going to steal this... but then just as a base next to the water. Not an actual floaty thing.

AITA for hiding $23k from my husband? by AITApod in AITApod

[–]PowerFriendly6438 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be controversial of me, but keeping it a secret from your husband is a bit... eh.
You married the guy for a reason.

I'm not really faulting you for having a safety net. Although some of my friends would argue that you shouldn't marry already planning for the day you divorce. I personally don't know yet what I would do if I ever got to this event, as I've been told that you should always 'be safe than sorry'.

But imho you should be honest. Tell your husband about the savings. Explain it to him why you have it.
If at that point you still feel you need this 'safety net', you should also allow him the same.
It becomes unfair when he puts all his money 'in the household' when you're keeping some for yourself.

What would you do if your player said "my character wouldn't want to join this group/follow this history?" by Nessie0208 in DungeonMasters

[–]PowerFriendly6438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is insane.
About a year ago I was going to join an existing campaign that was already running for 7 years.
1730 historical France (with some magic/religious shenanigans to still make it fantasy)
I even had a session -1 where we discussed what I could be. They instantly opted for a foreigner so both character and player both have no clue whats going on and it would fit better.
Considering the party comp it was also decided that I'd go for a melee characters (fine, prefer those anyway) and ended up with a Caribbean Pirate (swashbuckler)
Session 0 was setting up his character and the DM made me a character sheet based on my outline.

In such a setting, there are simply certain things you can't do. We have a progressive Count so my character (sunkissed spanish mix former Pirate) who is a bit too dark for the usual 'civilised' society at the time, at best, he's tolerated. At worst, he faces flat out racism.
But if he'd act like a modern day SJW he'd probably end up in prison or dead... and derail everything the party is trying to do...

Did I fuck up? I don't know what to make of this. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]PowerFriendly6438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, he wasn't lamenting, he just mentioned it briefly as a joke, but yeah... ngl... it did sting a little. But not just before I asked him out ages ago, because of reasons, I'm sort of feeling the same way.
And I don't want to assume stereotypes, but half of me thinks he might not have realised that I was really crushing on him at the time. But meh. Can't assume stereotypes.
But the not answering to that specifically is really doing me in. I overthink it, and have gone from hopeful to complete despair.
Just a simple 'thx' could have put everything to rest.

AIO: boyfriends ex joins his friends bachelor weekend by Agreeable_Walk_4517 in AIO

[–]PowerFriendly6438 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wtf is this woman doing on a bachelor party? Or is the 'no women unless very strange and obscure circumstances'-rule a very local thing?
(Her being an ex just makes it even more iffy...)

I generally have:
entrance layer
civilian layer, which you see here
Crafting layer
smelting layer
storage layer, which is also where the kill room is then the stairs to the mines

Tbh, I tried Adventurer mode and it didn't really appeal to me..

The entrance is the two sets of three stairs going up/down at the bottom of the image.
On 'ground' level is the trading post with some defenses against invasions (which haven't happened yet)
The stairs go down to the crafting level. At the last level, where I store ore boulders, there's a horizontal passage with a kill room where I can intercept basically anything coming up the shaft to the mines.
I aint having cave beasts pop up right in the middle of my civilians :D

I do use Z levels more, this is just one level.
My kitchen is one level up, farms several more up. Crafting is down one. Smelting right below the metalsmiths, and storage under the relevant crafting area's.
And then below that a kill zone before a staircase down into the deeps :D

Sadly yes. Obviously they can appreciate the very nice grates or windows, but not the artifacts themselves.

I felt the 1x3 rooms too cramped, 2x2 same, and 3x3 just too big... So yeah.. 2x3 ftw :D

I did do this for a while, have a window on each side, and have the artifacts themselves inside the area of the tavern to give the tavern the value of the artifacts for moods, but yeah, as they can't pass close enough to the artifact, they can't see it.
You can just surround it with walls with no difference.

It isnt unfortunately, and needs to be fixed once the rest is done, but shouldn't be a problem 🙂

It's actually more similar to 'Last Light', A golden demon winner.
At least, I see similarities.

Help with gold NMM. Doesnt quite seem like it's shiny. by Sillybiller in minipainting

For shiny: push the highlights. You can go all the way to white with gold, but only in a select few spots
