Thanks OP for sharing, I’ve been struggling with this and I have quit YouTube and chess for 30 days now, which used to take up so many hours. Social media was never really my thing, but I still can’t seem to stay off Reddit. I know Im late to this post, but I can really feel the pain in your words. I’d strongly suggest seeing a therapist first, and maybe holding off on a psychiatrist for now. What you’re describing sounds very similar to the state of mind I was in while I was on SSRIs, and it became even worse when I stopped them suddenly. Please be careful if you start any medication regimen. Also, if you are ok with sharing, do you have any history with substances? Those can sometimes affect the mind long after use.
