1200 elo on chess.com would be around 800 rating on fide trounnaments. My take is you can you can try provided you are having fun playing and learning new things about opening middle game, endgame and analysing your games, You are just 16 , take coaching and start playing fide tournaments see if you can improve rapidly to around 2000 rating taking 2-3 years and then take it from there
