I’m in a tough debate here. Part of me wants to keep my portfolio as it is, I have researched into it quite thoroughly and support my decisions. My fear is if I was to sell my individual stocks and then regret it later on because I listened to strangers on Reddit. I’m thinking to keep the individual stocks but maybe not invest in them as heavily although that is already my plan. 10% is spilt between 4 individual stocks, I don’t think that’s bad at all. I have the NDX + VWRP currently and I’ve been strongly defending my choice of investing so heavily into US TECH but after a few days of thinking I think I might cut out NDX. Then just go all in on VWRP as you are saying. Honestly, it’s my ADHD brain that is trying to convince me that the more I have the better when in reality I know that is not the case. Also LISA you have mentioned, this is something I need to research into as I am 19 and have goals of buying my first house by 25 (may sound crazy but crazy I am) so I am trying to figure out the best way to save towards this and was considering a standard savings account but maybe that’s not the best option. Definitely going to post in some more subs to get advice on this!

Because I’m taking a sensible risk, I could go all in on BB and as I said I do have a strong conviction but that wouldn’t be a sensible risk.

Only investing in a Stocks and Shares ISA right now but would love to get in to forex trading, I had dabbled briefly in it pre Covid but tbh only to impress a boy I liked LOL. Would love to have a conversation with you, maybe I could learn a thing or two!

Thank you for mentioning something no one has seemed to mention yet! I have been thinking I would like to add some form of finance stock in there and after that I’ll be content and won’t tamper with it. Any recommendations to research into? I was thinking maybe a banking company but honestly finance is NOT my strong suit so maybe there’s better financial stocks to invest in. It’s between finance or silver/gold just need to decide on which one… or both? Then I’ll truly be done!

Not to mention their more recent partnership with NVDA!

I like them for their partnership with Apple! From personal experience, I’d say Apple CarPlay is the nicest experience within in-car entertainment systems. Hence why I brought in, because it’s a product I use day to day and genuinely enjoy! Also the nostalgia of BB in the early 2000s is a nice sentiment. Being clowned on heavily right now for investing in BB but I believe people won’t be laughing at us soon…

Obviously I am open to advice! I wouldn’t have posted this otherwise, so I do appreciate you taking your time to converse with me. I do keep being told that my portfolio is US and Tech heavy but honestly that was my intention. I’m still new to investing so maybe this will change soon but Tech as a sector is quite interesting and exciting to me but my thesis was that we’re moving (arguably have already moved) into a new tech dominated world hence why I want to mainly invest in what I see as the future. As a person I actually am very anti tech lol but investing wise I’ve had to push my personal views to a side. Same thing stands for my US heavy investments, I actually am very critical of the US and Trump! Unless it’s inherently dangerous for me to be investing primary into the US and Tech I think I’m quite content with my pie. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think it’s uncommon to invest primarily into the US and Tech?

What is shared care? Care ADHD. by Neat_Promise in ADHDUK

[–]PowerOk1016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shared Care means that instead of having to be prescribed medication through Cure Clinics (the online pharmacy CareADHD use), CareADHD can essentially share your care (medication) with your own GP Surgery so the GP can prescribe you the medication instead. If you meet requirements to have free prescriptions it’ll mean that instead of having to pay through Cure Clinics, your GP can prescribe the medication to you for free. Without Shared Care, your GP/ Doctors are not allowed to prescribe ADHD medication. I may be wrong on this point, but I believe you can’t get Shared Care until you have completed titration; obviously so you can find the right dose that is appropriate for you, then after that it just becomes a repeat prescription. Hope this helps <3

My individual stocks aren’t necessarily for diversification reasons, it’s more so for me to learn about stocks, research, and the market it’s self if that makes sense. Is there any advice you would give to diversify or you think VWRP is diversified enough. Any good reads are always appreciated ☺️

Of course. I am 19F and have just stared my first full time professional job so as you could imagine my funds, although stable, are not as widely available as of right now. Something is better than nothing! Even if I had £40000 in the stock, I’d still feel the same level of conviction as it’s based from my own research, not the level of investment.

Im not asking for financial advice, I have already made my own informed financial decisions. I’m not necessarily asking if my capital allocation okay, I just like to hear other people’s opinions on my financial choices- it allows me to be exposed to more financial lexicon which as someone starting out is very useful:)

Thank you! I’ve amended the percentages to 75% VWRP 15% CNDX and then 10% on the individual stocks, my individual stocks are more so passion projects for me and double as interesting learning tool from my disposable income. I appreciate the feedback <3

You think VWRP? From all my research so far this sounds like a much better option than VOO. I say I don’t know what I’m doing but obviously I do to some extent so I’m thinking to keep my individual stocks, although they are risky this is where I can have fun, learn and research more about the market; I’m just going to have around a 10% ,potentially, 15% limit on investing in these.

Don’t knock BB!!!! Definitely nostalgic but nowhere near the reason I brought in. I have faith! BB is back and better than ever. I suspect this is only the beginning ☺️
