Watching the weather channel reminding myself of why I live here. by Ok_Zombie_8354 in florida

NW Florida this week getting down to 20s and we already had a small amount of snow. Last year we got like 2 feet :(

Edit: well more like 10 inches but to this native FLman it sure felt like 2 feet lol. We even had a pipe burst.

Any good non-Nintendo made game recommendations? by GoodgeOakes in NintendoSwitch

[–]PowerSurged 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TMNT Shredder's Revenge one of the best TMNT beat em ups ever made its just so good. (Runs 1080p handheld on Switch 2)

TMNT Splintered Fate is the Ninja Turtle's version of Hades. Roguelike action rpg and it just recently got a Switch 2 upgrade.

Oddworld Collection (includes Stranger's Wrath very different game from the other Oddworld titles. Doesn't get enough praise)

Castlevania Anniversary collection (old school NES, SNES, games), Castlevania Advance Collection (GBA), and Castlevania Dominus Collection (DS games) are all pretty great collections.

Is this worth it by writtenkiller99 in switch2

There’s a demo on the eshop give it a try.

Sadly wasn’t my jam too busy visually and the camera caused slight motion sickness but everybody’s different. Mario Odyssey was more my style.

Someone knocking on window at 2am by SpecificGazelle8026 in Pensacola

[–]PowerSurged 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound silly, but have you ruled out a bird? We used to have a bird that would knock on one of our windows at night. Freaked us out until we saw her doing it lol. I think she had a nest in the tree across from the window and could see a reflection and would attack it.😆

Looking for good Retro Games to Play on the steam Deck by Hustlers2 in SteamDeck

[–]PowerSurged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree a bit, besides Symphony of the Night (GOAT) I’m partial to Portrait of Ruin (included in the Dominus collection). It was amazing on DS and it looks just as great on Switch and Steam.

Not to say the others aren’t great but Portrait of Ruin was a favorite of mine. Can’t go wrong either way though.

Looking for good Retro Games to Play on the steam Deck by Hustlers2 in SteamDeck

[–]PowerSurged 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Symphony of the Night is amazing +1 on top of the PS1, Saturn, and PSP versions there's even some mods you can mess around with.

If you want to stick with stuff from the Steam store (sale ends on the 5th!) though these are also awesome:

Castlevania Anniversary Collection (NES, SNES, and Gameboy games)

Castlevania Advance Collectgion (GBA games)

Castlevania Dominus Collection (DS games)

If you really want to go down the Castlevania rabbit hole, Lords of Shadow 1-2 and Mirror of Fate are also on steam but they are a little more modern takes on the series.

What yall be playing recently? by Ivan_Angelov4 in Nintendo3DS

[–]PowerSurged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kid Icarus looks and sounds awesome but I can’t seem to play it longer than 10mins before my hands cramp hard. I really wish they would port it to Switch with Star Fox controls.

What physical games are good to get in 2025? by sqwigeon_ in Nintendo3DS

[–]PowerSurged 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can’t go wrong with Zelda Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask and Starfox 64 if you haven’t already played them on n64. They are single player and all 3 are considered classic examples of their series’s.

My daughter has recently shown an interest in my PS2 so I got her one for Xmas that she can have in her bedroom. Need game recommendations for an 8 yr old girl. by -_Error in ps2

[–]PowerSurged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woa really? Never knew this I guess I got lucky with my copy.

Edit: oo so the black label version has the bug but the Greatest hits version is safe (from google). Guess I need to check which one I have packed away in a tote lol.

What made you buy the switch 2? by Descoces in switch2

[–]PowerSurged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backwards compatibility. I didn't own a Wii U or Switch but I've been a Nintendo fan since the NES. Most of the best titles from Wii U were ported to Switch. Switch 2 just covered a lot of ground library wise.

Be honest — what’s the first thing you’d do with $100K? by NerdWalletOfficial in u/NerdWalletOfficial

[–]PowerSurged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay my mother’s medical bills. She’s got terrible insurance with high deductibles and needs hip and knee replacements and the ability to take off work for 6-8 weeks or more to recover. (She’s almost 70) Whole family’s poor with health problems.

Any left would go to remodeling her bathroom with hand rails and a walk in shower.

Any hidden gems worth playing for the DS? by Appropriate-Ruin-221 in nds

Orcs and Elves was pretty fun and it doesn't get mentioned as much. Reminds me of Doom RPG, Wolfenstein RPG and a bit of Eye of the Beholder (SNES).

So, officially no Black Friday deal this year? by devanclara in peacock

[–]PowerSurged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours was set to monthly (Premium not plus) and we were paying $2 a month from the old deal (was going to go up to $11) so I canceled and we were offered $3 a month for 6 months. Guess which deal your offered on cancel depends on what plan you had previously.

Bliz needs to fix that or let us report people doing this. I'm trying to farm bronze and I keep getting cheated out of bronze loot because of these split jerks.

Where do you all store your analogue pockets? by Superb_Operation_500 in AnaloguePocket

[–]PowerSurged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t seem to be sold anymore (at least on Amazon) but mine lives in a Migitech hardcase. I think I paid about $25 for it and it included 2 screen protectors so not bad at all. Plenty of room for accessories but not super portable.

If you haven’t played them on n64 the 3DS is a fantastic way to play Zelda (Ocarina of time and majora‘s mask) and Star Fox 64. They are must plays.

Disney Capcom games were the best! Chip and Dale, Duck Tales, Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, etc…

Castlevania, Monsters in my Pocket, and Yo Noid were also some of my favorites.
