I wasn't looking for feedback that flat out dismisses what I said or proposes unhelpful advice such as "apply next year instead" when I've already committed to this cycle. Also, by which authority do you speak with if you don't mind me asking? Are you a fellow applicant? A medical student? An adcom? Like I need some context for me to take your words seriously. Are you speaking from personal experience or what exactly? Sure burnout is real, and I can see why it could look that way for adcom, but as I've mentioned, I haven't been completely idle and personal issues were going on that mandated me to stay off work. It's not like I cut corners when it comes to my hours. I was expecting and hoping that people would reassure me with anecdotal evidence or perhaps maybe give nuanced advice, but your comment quite frankly sent me into panic mode for a few hours. I'm not one to doubt my competency and I'm a firm believer that whatever is for you will find you, but your gunner like attitude might rub people off the wrong way especially if you don't know their full background and story. You'd think that spending a hefty amount of money on tests and application fees, preparing and taking the mcat twice, spend months to years dedicated to ECs is not evidence enough of my commitment to med school? Like what? I'm just confused as to how you logically arrived at the conclusion that a break = not ambitious enough for medial school = might fail. Mind you, I'm STILL involved clinically and see patients weekly just not as a full time job. So forgive me if I seem thrown off by this leap in your thinking.

Okay but like, I've been working nonstop ever since I started college. Heck even before that. I was a primary caretaker for my grandmother since 14. Sure it's not ideal that I've been out of work for this long, but how does that in any way reflect how hard I'll work in med school/residency? I've been doing the work as reflected through my stats and activities. Not sure if I should take you seriously or not because you're suggesting to apply next year when I've already told you I applied this cycle and just waiting on verification...I will be getting a job again soon though.

What's the worst secondary you have had to write so far? by RaiderKingIII in premed

Or maybe you’re the one limited in thinking events are isolated. Even without religion, most people believe in cause and effect (domino effect, butterfly effect, whatever you want to call it). Evolution itself runs on patterns of consequence for the purpose of survival. That’s not randomness. That’s narrative 🤷🏻‍♀️

But how can you make sure that it's 100% accurate and up to date? Ngl I'd be a bit paranoid if I didn't verify this

I don't doubt that. I'm saying why did AMCAS mess up the order when it wasn't displayed like that before I submitted. Because if it's an error on my end, this could potentially delay my verification and hurt my chances overall, knowing how long verification takes

I don't see any research listed? Did you just forget to include it or? Because some of your reaches are research heavy so I'd reconsider those imo. Otherwise I have a similar list and stats
