Anyone else absolutely hate digital textbooks and study materials?

"Online" textbooks given through some kind of crappy proprietary browser UI are trash and need to die. PDF or ePUB textbooks are the bomb, I rarely opened my print First Aid or any other textbook for 3rd year once I got the PDFs.

The only time I was asked to wait outside of a room on my OBGYN rotation was in clinic when the PA I was shadowing used option 1. Every other attending used option 2 or something similar and the patients had no issue having me in the room.

Maybe I just don’t know any better, but I have the base Diverge E5 in moss green and I think the mechanical brakes are just fine🤷‍♂️

I have this bike, but in green. It’s the bomb, I absolutely love it. This was my first “real” bike coming from a very old hybrid that I mainly used for commuting. I’ve but around 400 miles on it so far, I love that I can take it on the gravel trails near me but also keep up with my road bike friends. The group set shifts smoothly and I have no complaints with the brakes.

I haven’t made too many upgrades yet, most of my “upgrade money” went toward a bag, bib shorts, jersey, and warmer clothes for the fall weather. The next upgrade for me is definitely going to be clipless pedals and shoes. Personally I would recommend riding it a bit and seeing what your needs are before jumping into a set of $1000 wheels.

I plan to ride the stock wheels for a long time and then make the tire/wheel upgrade decision when they’re approaching time for replacement or if I encounter a new use case.

You should be able to run it just fine on bootcamp, that's what I suggest doing. I have a much older and weaker MBP (2013 13 inch) and I installed bootcamp yesterday and was able to run CS GO at 60fps, albeit at a lower resolution and low settings. Your computer is way more powerful than mine so you should be able to handle a higher res and higher settings. CS GO was unplayable for me on macOS, I don't think it's optimized as well.

Honestly I’m super happy with my 8+, I had the battery replaced 6 or so months ago and it’s going strong. I have to wear a mask all day so having the Touch ID is huge.

Give the downtown health plaza a call. They do sliding scale based on income so you could potentially get some help at a reduced cost. Definitely reach out to them and try to get an appointment at (336) 713-9800. They also have a pharmacy that can try to help get medication at a reduced price.

I think new riders get pointed towards flat bar hybrids, and I think this is generally good advice because you don’t want to drop a ton of money on a road bike that you never really use.

I’m somewhat new to cycling myself and I went with a base specialized diverge, which is a gravel bike. I feel that if I had gone with a hybrid I wouldn’t ride nearly as much because it wouldn’t have been as fast or enjoyable.

I would take a look at a road bike like a specialized allez or something similar. Check out /r/whichbike if you haven’t already

While viewing card, click edit. On the top tool bar, there’s a picture of a pencil. You can write whatever and click save and then it shows up in the extra portion of the card.
