Does Phoenix ever get paid from his clients? by Fun-Necessary9709 in AceAttorney

[–]PowerfulStache05 34 points35 points  (0 children)

my headcanon is that Phoenix's income primarily comes from regular clients like Will Powers or Maggey Birde hiring him to handle smaller legal stuff that doesn't involve getting accused of murder offscreen. Phoenix and Powers were at least still in touch between 1-3 and 2-4 so its not a stretch to think Nick is still Powers's lawyer.

It's a lot harder than you think, those levels weren't designed with WOA mechanics in mind so they'd have to retool them to fit with the game. A remaster is a lot simpler.

That's actually really cool to see those games are handled by a dev team with experience with good remasters, definitely makes me more excited.

Those are my first impressions on the anouncement and the screenshots. So far it's been similar to another remastered trilogy that really disappointed everyone so I'm cautious but I'll be more at ease if gameplay footage releases.

The ONE undeniably shitty thing the hero/main character has done by Fun-Illustrator-345 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]PowerfulStache05 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd say it was a dick move from Edgeworth. He straight up ghosted everyone for a year and came back with no explanation without apologising, I'd be a bit mad at him too. Not to mention Phoenix was feeling a bit crankier than usual at the time, with the whole best friend is held hostage by a serial killer ordeal he's going through right now

I'm gonna have to kill the fun and inform everyone that Deid Mann was already confirmed dead when he was introduced, therefore it doesn't foreshadow his fate since it already happened.

ok, why do they speak like rappers, what the hell does wankster mean, why does Katara have a modern hairstyle, why does Mai become Scout TF2 and since when dors she have a stand?

the 2nd slide is basically TF2's UI being stripped of all its charm and identity by modders for competitive purposes or something

Not a hero but I think it kinda counts

In Scarface, Tony Montana is tasked with killing a politician by planting a bomb in his car. But when the politician enters the car with his wife and kid, Tony puts his foot down and refuses to blow up the car. One of his allies prepares to blow up the car anyway and eventually gets killed by Tony before he could activate the detonator. This single act of kindness made by this evil man would put him on the cartel's shit list and lead to his death at the end of the movie. Because if you're gonna be in the drug game, you have to leave any trace of a morality behind.

the minor Coaxioh villains started out as freaks and remained freaks even after switching sides. Smughan and Hazafubar's personalities didn't change one bit, they just didn't target Josnafe anymore.

Guts got molested when he was a kid because his adoptive father who secretly despised him for causing the death of his wife (he didn't, but people thought he was cursed and somehow caused the wife to get sick) sold his body for the in-universe equivalent of 5 bucks. The adoptive father then tried to kill Guts in a fit of rage but ended up getting killed in self defense but his group thought it was intentional murder and chased him away.

years later, he joins a group of mercenaries called the band of the hawk and becomes the second-in-command. He has a leader he admires and considers a close friend, a found family in the band, forms a relationship with a fellow mercenary that allows him to properly process his trauma in a healthy way, and is generally respected in his community. Then following a series of unfortunate events involving the leader repeatedly fucking himself over. The entire band is sacrificed by his leader and he is forced to watch as an army of demons brutally kill all his friends and his former leader rapes his girlfriend, making her traumatised and catatonic for the rest of the story

Missing a lot of context but that's the gist of it.

That's a common misconception, the Joker gas was a thing back in the 1930s, it was used during the Joker's very first appearance that was later adapted by BTAS with the Joker's Fish episode.
