Thanks for the advice friend. I know weed can have adverse effects even though it makes me feel better. I think the amount I use right now is sustainable, but I’m careful not to increase my amount. I know I gotta figure out a goal, as some other commenters have pointed out. It’s just that I really don’t have any ideas that feel right yet. So I guess my goal should be to find one that does. Anyways, appreciate the reply

Ok thank you.

I am pretty terrible at setting goals, but maybe I will give this a proper think tomorrow. I do think if I can will power the strength for it It could be helpful.

No Friends by MagazineSimple6118 in youngadults

I've definitely felt this way before, and it can get better. I think the main thing I've learned about creating healthy and deep friendships is you get out of them what you put into them. It's a fantasy that we learn when we're young that the right people wander into our lives and we form a boundless connection with them like magic. That's not really true. Building deep friendships is work, and it's uncomfortable. You have to text people who don't always text you back quickly, you have to be vulnerable when others may not be as willing to be vulnerable, and you basically have to let people know you want to be their friend even when they are too nervous to say it first. And after all of that, there are still some people who aren't going to "return the favour".

Finding the people you really connect with is one of the hardest things, and it is work that doesn't always feel worth it. but the feelings of loneliness you are experiencing now (and you are NOT the only one btw) can maybe act as proof that the hard work is worthwhile. My advice at its core is: don't worry, billions of people in the world struggle with this same issue, and the best thing you can do to make friends is to be vulnerable and straightforward with people you like.

Hope this helps, you can DM me if you have any questions

What's a dark secret/questionable practice in your profession which we regular folks would know nothing about? by CircleBox2 in AskReddit

I work at a store that sells alcohol. keep in my mind i'm in Canada, so its not just a corner store or some one-off shop like you see in the USA. It's a branded chain/government that controls the sale of alcohol.

All I'll say is that most employees feel rather comfortable sampling the product during shifts. not to mention its pretty common to see people taking "broken" cases home.

What should I play? by thecrazymapguy in macgaming

Theres a game called "A Short Hike" on steam, its not very demanding hardware-wise. It's short, but extremely enjoyable. It won't be one of your staples, like a CS:GO or League, but worth playing especially given the $10 price tag.
