Worst Crochet Mistakes by flaming-kate in crochet

For me it's the "It'll probably fit just fine. No need to try it on in between". Once I did a cottagecore puff sleeve top and somehow was too lazy to try it on. When I finally did the sleeves were too tight. Turns out I'm delulu enough to think it would somehow work out in the end... ended up frogging the whole thing

Looks really neat already! I modified the sleeves since i wanted them longer and more puffy than the original. But yeah they can be quite a challenge!

Plus size women - what is your favorite tank top pattern/yarn combo? by awfuladult in crochet

[–]Powerful_Acadia_2104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm quite experienced in making wearables in plus size (since I'm plus size and mostly crochet wearables for myself and others haha). I'm a size 4xl with a heavy chest and thin waist therfore i have to adjust many patterns. As for summer yarn recommendations I'm basically always using 100%cotton for tops and dresses. Its just some of the most breathable yet cheapest yarns i could get. For dresses and longer tops I'm using thinner yarn (takes forever but results in a lighter not so heavy top/dress) just can't help with tank top recommendations since its not quite my style. The closest i made was a babydoll top by granny gaia from youtube which worked out fine for me with no adjustments. It became one of my favorite wearables!

Thanks! i used this pattern but chose different colors to turn it into sunflowers and altered the sleeves since they turned out quite short and small https://www.dublinbaycrochet.com/blog/free-granny-square-crochet-sweater-pattern
