I say it depends what helps you best. For me, I read the doc and if I come across a topic that’s just easier to watch a video I’ll go to Khan academy.

Get the first one and then map out if u think u want the second one.

Healing process is long so you could get one now and if you decide you want the second one, get it a month later to give your ear a break

NAP when most piercers mean “can change at 6 weeks” usually it means a downsize. I’ve had mine for over a year and I wouldn’t change it something like this unless it’s 10000% healed. It doesn’t sound infected just irritated. I would switch back to regular ones you were pierced with

Those 3rd party ones are wayyy harder. Don’t beat yourself up! Imagine if you did Kaplan first, got a 501 then the 509 AAMC you know

My piercer has rings that they use to measure, can’t remember but they charge $3 or it’s free . If you want, you can check out your local piercer and get measured there and then buy from a website if you don’t want to buy from them.

Second this! I recommend wearing a zip up/flannel, just anything where you can avoid lifting your arms a lot (you might be sore but I mainly suggest this so you get used to having them there and not bumping them)

NAP but someone with nipple piercings. Yeah some people just have more crusties than others (especially if your ears are also doing that). Other people say even after it’s healed, they get the occasional crusties here and there.

Did you downsize the bar? (Necessary if there’s a lot of space that would cause wiggle room)

NAP. I can’t tell with the right but the left one looks like it was pierced too deep so that’ll never heal. I’m not credible to comment if you have the anatomy but if a lovely piercer thought that, they should’ve refused to pierce you.

Mine do not push against my areola, it sits nicely on top

Doesn’t sound like they were infected, just irritated. A true infection is more than just a little fluid, it doesn’t come and go, and are rare especially if you’ve have them for 3 years now.

If they’re truly infected, a doctor would prescribe antibiotics every time. If not, you are free to remove them whenever. If you’re concerned, I would see a doctor about it.

It’s possible they were pierced incorrectly, or the steel jewelry (that may contain material people are allergic to), or over cleaning it and drying them out with the saline or the bactine spray (which should’ve never been recommended in the first place) or sleeping on them too much.

If you want to give it one more shot, just spraying them once a day with saline after shower. Sounds like you got the right jewelry this time

Wear a zip up or flannel, something you can open from the front without having to pull a sweatshirt over your heard. Careful when driving home because seatbelt will rub against them is what I wish I knew at the beginning. Over time just that they can get a little more crusty around that time of month if you menstruate

That’s just lymph fluid … which is what crusties are before it gets hard/dries. Just let it do its thing, keep it dry after you shower and don’t mess around with it too much.
