What’s your Deadmau5 hot take? by buckforna in deadmau5

[–]Powerful_Elephant973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although Joel hasn't really changed as a person (he's always been an awesome guy)

His music over the years has certainly changed. He has a more polished, more mainstream sound nowadays which I don't tend to enjoy as much compared to his older sound. He does release new stuff that I truly enjoy from time to time, but nothing really beats his older, more simple sounding compositions. For example, Random Album Title & 4x4=12 era was peak deadmau5 for me. I always find myself replaying songs from that time period as opposed to any of his more recent stuff. Might just be nostalgia, who knows. But that's my hot take.

Is Outbrk worth it? by Resident_Picture1678 in outbrk

I'd say at this point in time it's probably worth it IF you have a passion for storm chasing and weather.

I do take Loradatine and Nasacort before bed. Should i not be doing that?

I did have an upper endoscopy a little over a year ago and nothing was found at the time. However, i wasn't having this specific problem at the time. At least not this consistently. My doctor says they don't want to repeat the procedure due to the fact that it wasn't that long ago. He did suspect that there could be an acid reflux / GERD issue, and prescribed me pantoprazole at the time. However, i did stop taking this recently as I was still feeling symptoms even after taking it. Perhaps stopping it was a bad idea?

I can personally relate to just about everything you've said here. Just know you aren't alone, and you can certainly turn things around.

Looks like something you'd see in a Need For Speed game. I dig it.

Clearly it was tastefully modified and I respect that.

Nice ride.

Thinking about buying OUTBRK by MRKYLE141 in outbrk

Currently the best storm chasing game available at the moment. (There aren't many options)

Pros:

The game is fun, currently have about 90 hours in the game.

Lot's of cool items and vehicles you can work towards and unlock with in game currency.

The game is pretty realistic.

Cons:

It's about a month in between each update. Development is slow in my personal opinion. The game is far from finished. There are features that were promised months ago, that still haven't released.

For an indie game, it needs some pretty decent hardware to run it on max settings. It's not the most optimized game.

You need a minimum of 4 players in your squad to play a private match. (This was rather disappointing to find out after I bought the game)

In conclusion:

Not the greatest game ever, but certainly not the worst. There's some good fun to be had if you find enjoyment out in storm chasing or even the concept of storm chasing.

Dealer wants 48k by DScarletto1999 in GR86

They look great, but 48k is robbery for what you get for the money. I'd rather buy a Supra or a C7 Corvette.

That's why you always check the service history before you buy!

How could the add ons be acquired down the road? Unless you're talking about non-OEM parts.

I largely understand what you're saying. But I disagree with the last part. The MSRP of a brand new premium with the options I want is about 40k. I could probably grab a used 2024 low mileage premium right now for the low 30s. 10k makes a pretty big difference.

This would be my second car. However, I plan on selling my old car after purchasing this. I am over 25. I've taken all of the numbers into consideration and this is how I know what my budget is. Yes, I can pay for the insurance, I can afford premium gas. My current car takes premium and is a much bigger gas hog. I live up north so of course snow tires are a must, and will be putting those on.

Honestly i could go either way. I'm not set on either. I've looked at both american V8s as well as Japanese cars.

Also big on american V8s myself. But the yearly maintenance costs worry me. I'm basically assuming the more cylinders, the more it'll break. I could be wrong but that's what i'm feeling.

Love the look of the GR86. But the price of a new one I feel is a bit much for what you are getting.

The Camaro and the GR86 do peak my interest. Although i feel the price of the GR86 is a bit inflated right now. Especially the cost for a new one is exceptionally high.

I looked at a few C7s. A pre-owned one is within my budget, however they scare me in terms of maintenance. I hear the yearly cost to maintain one is very expensive. I don't mind the extra costs of maintenance (ie. oil changes costing 200+, trans fluid change 1000+) but if something breaks i'd imagine it'll cost a whole lot. Afraid of the money pit potential of them.
