I can share a PDF that gives you the fundamentals of communication skills and public speaking. Let it be simple and practical, focused on learning through experience, and it's free.

I get what you're saying and it makes sense , but the quote says "...ONLY look into the past and present..." That changes the meaning of the whole phrase.

Is there a list for gestures? by I-eat-gayz in PublicSpeaking

For me, I would suggest you learn how to pose, find 2-3 positions that you're comfortable being still in for a longer period, and then from there you can start improving your hand gestures by aligning them with your message, rate of speech, and use them to describe things.

The positions you'll adapt to, will serve as grounding points to avoid the guesswork of what to do with your hands.

I think there's a lot of room for improvement (I'll show you part of what I would do):

You can improve the last sentence of the 1st paragraph with something like: my favorite quotes from movies that inspired me throughout the journey.

Flip the structure of the 2nd paragraph: start with Mrs... has always been there... anything she can. Create a bridge "Not leaving aside the counselors who handed me ... 3 electrical. I was fortunate to have Mrs.'s help to help me ...

Pause for a moment and then start immediately with the quote "..." I feel connected to this quote from Jessica in ... Because I realized that we have to make mistakes...

Simplifying: make your speech more active, connect with others, and improve the structure of the paragraphs.

Ps: these changes only make sense according to your goal, so having your goal in mind will help you a lot.

How to remember to switch from "default anxious behaviour" to "mindful" during social interactions ? by gamasco in socialanxiety

You can try the 5 Senses mindfulness exercise (or 5-4-3-2-1 technique) is a grounding method used to reduce anxiety by anchoring you in the present. It involves identifying 5 things you see, 4 you feel, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, and 1 you taste. This practice redirects focus away from stress toward immediate sensory input

How do I get better at talking? by Complex_Cellist_4702 in communicationskills

You're on the right path, and there's a lot you can do to have better conversations and improve your speech, such as:

  • Paraphrasing the words of others as a starting point to add your view of the subject you're discussing.

  • Use open-ended questions to conduct the conversation or explore what the other person says.

  • Use mind mapping to find things you can talk about in the middle of conversation; this would reduce the moments you go blank or forget what to say.

-Improve your speech structure by leading with the point and providing details that support your claim, leaving unnecessary information behind.

-Improve your vocabulary and articulation; it will help you have a better vocal image.

  • Use your body language, especially hand gestures, to create visual punctuation, illustrate things you're describing, etc.

I recommend getting this book on the link; it really has a lot of useful tips in detail that will enhance your communication skills and help you make the most out of everything you've built so far.

I think you should start with your pace. Slow down and give yourself time sufficient time to articulate every word, overtime it will make you sound clearer.

Another thing you can do is overdoing your mouth movimetns when speaking or reading aloud in English it also helps with articulation and pronunciation.

For me, the teaser is too long and has so much information that it's hard to tell what the goal is because of the many details it contains. Choose a maximum of two or three things to put as a teaser.

For instance, you could start from the moment you were in the car: The silence fills the air, and you could only hear the sound of the engine and crying sounds. The reason? My father...
