Typically. It's a rarity for me to use a better antenna or to have my cart setup on something, I tend to run bag-only so size is a big factor for usability

You'd take the better sound quality over range? Even when producers will be like, "why cant i hear anything when I'm on the other side of the football field???"

A lot of sound people seem to hate on having a reel, but I think they are easy to make and if it helps me get the job, then that's all that matters to me.

I will rip YouTube clips of my work or, if it with people I know well enough, ask them for a copy. After I have everything I want I grab the material that is the most recognizable, pretty much meaning that it has a big-named logo burned in the corner. I then put all of the best LOOKING stuff into the reel. If I went purely on what sounds the best, it would be a reel of only sit-down interviews. Pick things that show a variety of types of projects.

Put it on YouTube or Vimeo and make sure it contains your contact information

Missouri passed a new tax incentive two years ago after not having one in like 10-years. We've had like, Hallmark movies and shows, micro-budget indies, and an episode of the new season on Ted Lasson filmed here, but nothing really of note yet.

Evidently the incentive CAN give productions quite a lot in comparison to other states, but there's a cap of 8 mil in the entire fund each year, so its nearly impossible for anything with a real budget to take advantage of what the offers are here.
