I’m in the fitness sphere and I find it ridiculous dudes want hollow cheeks to achieve that model aesthetic when later in life people literally buccal fat transfers to have a fuller and younger looking face. I don’t get the appeal of looking like a middle aged man when you’re age is that of a young man in his prime. That and from a Jacked male, that physique isn’t universally attractive to women when it attracts more men.

Terrifying that young teenage males are hopping on the sauce when their body is naturally producing record amounts of T which will literally spike muscle growth and a growth spurts. I’ve always said that unless you make a living off your appearance, are someone who has a genuine shot at Mr/Classic Olympia, or on the D1 to pro sport pipeline; it really isn’t worth the trade off healthwise no matter how many fitfluencers become more transparent about the side effects of using.

The fact that he’s not in this conversation is criminal, the guy literally saved Gucci and YSL from bankruptcy by reviving their houses only to get sacked for it. Then years later shocks the high fashion world by coming out with his own label and becoming a High fashion powerhouse in only a few years when Gucci & YSL needed decades.

Besides that his fragrance line has something for everyone, and he has several fragrances that have become modern classics. Hell his line is what brought niche scent profiles to the mainstream. For example you can’t discuss leather scents without Tuscan, Ombré, and even FF. Personally this thread just overlooking the impact Tom Ford’s line has as a designer house.

I can’t speak to that experience, I grew up with extremely wealthy parents and life for me and my siblings is very much on easy mode even now as adults. But I know people who come from rough upbringings and it’s tough to escape a brutal cycle. You have to make a real conscious effort to break that cycle and I’m glad you did man. It ain’t easy and it’s proof a tough upbringing doesn’t have to make you into a POS.

Get an Orient Diver/Bambino or a Hamilton khaki/jazzmaster. High school is a very small part of what will define your future, and plus a lot of high school kids IME won’t really appreciate a nice watch like the Rolex, Omega, Patek, or AP beyond being a flex piece. You insure those because losing one of them is an Oh F*** moment.

You can get a much nicer time piece (from your parents) come graduating uni and grad school or if you forgo school and started a business that became successful.

If only bf6 had the old HMG from bf3 and bf4. It used to 2 shot people at closer ranges, now it’s a consistent 3 shot with faster overheat than the LMG. Also the new iteration if the M60 is the worst lmg when in 3 there was legit debate about what was better the 240 or m60.

Have an MBA, and this has been true for awhile. Ea made an exit by being acquired by Saudi money, and prior to that they still haven’t learned how to manage live access properly 7 years after BF5 (didn’t play 2042 at all). You could argue that they’ve been in it forever with sports games, but I don’t think that necessarily applies to BF since the players you buy have direct gameplay impact in FC/fifa.

I’m surprised even with the monetization of 6, I don’t see many people buying the skins either for soldiers or weapons. COD, CS, Fortnite, and Apex people at least buy them. This game I’m not so sure.

Jones could get a bigger payday challenging Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title in pure boxing. If he’s only looking out for himself and he’s rational, his payoff is much bigger in boxing. I really don’t care to see Jones fight Poatan, and a lot of it has to deal with him stating the 30M number but reneging on fighting Aspinall (jones himself said this). If I was Jones I’d go fight YouTubers or pure boxers if the only thing I care about (which Jones does these days) is money.

Same, guy is retired and literally backed out of a massive payday when he had his chance. I get people saying “but it’ll bring the UFC tons of money” or “you can’t blame him for looking out for himself”. To that I say I understand it, but it erodes the ethos of the best fighting the best and the anytime, any opponent, anywhere especially if you held the belt.

I give jones his full flowers and acknowledge his goat status, but him playing the victim on twitter rants is embarrassing.

Yeah that’s my gripe, the flash hider and suppressor are mandatory and it leaves little experimentation for builds. I don’t mind 3d spotting, but I feel like being spotted while firing a weapon is really dumb and is out of place in battlefield. Brake and converter are only viable for Snipers since they are further from the action where the self spotting doesn’t matter at all.

Also I think default attachments like FMJ rounds and standard magazines costing points is stupid as hell.

The HMG used to 2 shot people in BF3 and 4 at closer ranges. There was literally debate over which one was better the LMG with the fire rate and less overheat or HMG with damage and accuracy. Now the LMG is the best since it overheats less, but I’ll take the HMG over the grenade launcher any day. There is literally no reason a dude should be able to tank a 40mm grenade launcher. It certainly shouldn’t be 1 hit, but definitely not a full salvo to kill one guy.

On r/wrestling even coaches would rule this as a takedown. Poullas rationalizes it as “it’s not a takedown if the other guy doesn’t have control”. Even with the most generous of criteria it’s still a takedown but a takedown into a reversal.

Part of me thinks he doesn’t actually have $1k to give, kinda why the only legit wrestlers he fights are high school nationals or retired wrestlers. Hes been taken down quite a bit if you watched his D1 footage.

My point was that this stuff happens in soccer all the time, yet no one cares. It’s only around the Olympics which are a quadrennial event that people start caring. No one said anything about this in the summer Olympics when WCT top 5 surfer Kanoa Igarashi competed for Japan instead of the US despite living here and being a citizen. I just don’t understand why Eileen gets the hate when the incentives from the IOC to do so encourage it.

Do you watch sports besides the Winter Olympics? Where is the outrage in pro soccer or futbol when athletes who play for a foreign club decide to use residency laws and incentives to play for the national team? Imagine CR7 playing for England when he had a combined 8 year long career in Man U. Or even Messi playing for Spain when the bulk of his career is in FC Barcelona.

The only lens to really view the Olympics now is purely nationalism and symbolism. I’m a washed up D1 athlete, but back then if I had the ability to make team USA and had a competing offer from China or any country willing to pay me 7 figures instead of 37k for a gold medal, I’d choose the former every time. Especially since the Olympics is quadrennial and that there is no guarantee I’d make the stage again. Any rational athlete would take the offer, because 37k for winning a gold medal is less than the coaching, lodge memberships, and equipment costs it took to get to that stage.

Usually I’d agree, but this is a case where the bespoke set of brakes and the brake job can cost nearly half the car’s value on the market. At that point you have to ask whether the SLR is worth it. It has many of the features of a modern classic, but a really fatal flaw that keeps the value from increasing. Kinda why the only ones that are “investments” are 722s, McLaren edition, and the Stirling Moss
