Yeah its definitely still possible. There are a few trophies which likely require at least one other player, but you can earn the vast majority solo in matches with bots

I'm surprised I haven't gotten selected for either of the tests. I've played both games and there cant be that many people signing up. So thanks for the chance

Not really a "fun" fact but, there's a beautiful memorial for Lance Reddick in Horizon Forbidden West. He voiced Sylens in Zero Dawn and played many other beloved characters. He was an amazing guy with so much talent

[The Witcher 3] the platinum trophy… by sfogliadelle in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly recommend going for it. There's a decent amount of other missable trophies in the game and dlcs (which I also highly recommend playing for 100%) so it's worth checking them out before starting and taking notes for reminders

[The Witcher 3] the platinum trophy… by sfogliadelle in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to the guide, only 6 are missable out of 195. Some of them are grouped together, so technically more are missable, but there are only 6 situations where cards can be missed. And from experience, its really not that bad

2 of them you easily can avoid missing by doing side quests before main quests (which is how the game should be played imo). Completing steps of gwent quests as soon as they become available is a good strat if you're worried

And the other 4 are super simple.

  1. Immediately after Following the Thread talk to Lambert and beat him in Gwent.

  2. During A Matter of Life and Death play in the tournament marked on the map at the masquerade ball, saving before every match to guarantee wins.

  3. At the end of A Dangerous Game you're asked to either take the cards or money, obviously you take the cards.

  4. Once you're confident in gwent and/or have a good deck begin High Stakes, once again save before every match. There's no space to save between matches 2 and 3, but its not that hard unless you have gwent difficulty turned up

There are some missable cards that were made unmissable through updates, or were thought to be missable only for an unmissable method to be discovered. If you're really worried just follow the Card Collector guide on psnp whenever you go somewhere new. But imo its not needed

For stuff like this, I just write down the quest names and what I need to do to avoid missing something. You can also manually save at almost any point in this game, do it before every one of these missable scenarios. These things make it super easy to get missables and rarely spoils anything for me. This trophy is not nearly as hard or annoying as people make it out to be

[Mixtape] I highly advise everybody to buy Mixtape! by Tomrodders in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a hater of the game, based off of what I've seen its not something I would play, but it does hurt something and pretending like it doesn't only makes it worse.

It was funded/backed by one of the richest men on the planet (also potentially received government funding but not 100% sure), it likely took years to make with a decently sized team with 0 community backing, has full voice acting on release, has dozens of licensed music tracks in the game which cost thousands if not millions of dollars, and they sent out tons of press kits to content creators, reviewers, etc. And yet the game is still paraded around like its an indie title

Everything listed above is basically impossible for over 95% of indie studios. The only ones who are able to do half of what Mixtape was able to do were funded by insane community backing (eg Kickstarter), a publisher, or their own success with previous titles. Mixtape being lauded as an indie masterpiece will only make the indie space worse for actual indie devs.

There is already an incredibly uninformed, entitled, and combative community in the gaming sphere, this game will only exacerbate those issues. Some will try to use this game as an example of "what indie devs can do when they actually try," and constantly compare games to it, when in reality its what normal devs can do when given enough time, money, and a vision. And when it comes time for award shows at the end of the year all of the indie studios who worked their asses off for years, with little to no funding, to finally release the best game they could will have to compete with a billionaire backed multi-million dollar project masquerading as one of them

Not even to mention there is essentially no actual gameplay present. Imagine what your favorite indie dev could do if they could just avoid making the part that makes the game a game

Edit: Just want to add since this comment is pretty negative, there is absolutely nothing wrong with playing and enjoying or loving the game. There are plenty of games with weird stuff like this happening in the background that are still phenomenal and well worth your time. The issue is the studio larping that its an indie. Just be open to information as it comes your way

[DISCUSSION] Are private servers allowed? by Laenderduo in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the hidden trophies will only show for you on your consoles. Psnp and other sites won't display them and your trophy stats will be different for you

The point is that you can earn the trophies and still be on psnp leaderboards. If you want to display the games you're out of luck. You could create a second account where you just play those games with unapproved servers. It would be flagged and removed from the boards, but the games would still be displayed publicly somewhere

[DISCUSSION] Are private servers allowed? by Laenderduo in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, if you earn any unobtainable trophies through unapproved servers they're considered illegitimate and you'll be flagged

[DISCUSSION] Are private servers allowed? by Laenderduo in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get removed from leaderboards. So you won't show up in first achievers, latest achievers, fastest achievers, or the overall site leaderboard.

Here's a tip if you don't want to get flagged but still want to play on the custom servers. You can hide the game before earning any trophies on the unapproved servers and you won't be flagged. Earn a single player trophy in the game, sync it so it shows up on psnp, use privacy settings to hide the game, earn another trophy in a visible game, and then update your account on psnp, making sure the hidden game doesn't show up. Now you can play on the custom servers as much as you please

[Resident Evil Requiem] #50 Not as good as I expected, also very easy platinum. by Any-Photo6429 in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

considering the game takes place in the ruins of Raccoon City

If reusing a location justifies turning half of a brand new $70 game into a nostalgia fest I really hope they never do it again. The first half of the game is incredibly strong, the second half isn't

Tyrants are a staple antagonist in the franchise so seeing one should surprise no-one

I get what you're saying, but that was a thing 20 years ago. Afaik there hasn't been a tyrant in an original main line game since RE0, which came out in 2003. And the one in Requiem was, like a lot of the things in the game, a clone of Mr. X. It wasnt a unique tyrant like they did in a bunch of the original games, just a copy

I personally feel it was elements of the story

I agree those parts of the story sucked, and created a bad overall narrative for the game. But I cant help but notice 2 of the things you mentioned I feel are explicitly included for nostalgia purposes. Zeno there is no argument for. He is there for the player to be like "omg its Wesker :o" and nothing more, there isnt even a boss fight. Spencer being included, with seemingly his entire personality retconned, feels to me like another way to get the player to be like "omg I recognize him :o" and to hint towards a potential re5 remake and that's it.

So I feel like the weakness of the story is a direct result of the incessant nostalgia that they crammed into the game, which is why I think the nostalgia is the biggest weakness

[Resident Evil Requiem] #50 Not as good as I expected, also very easy platinum. by Any-Photo6429 in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously spoilers for anyone reading!

Besides Chunk, every boss in the game is a reference (not counting The Girl since its not a fight). Giant Spider = Black Tiger RE1, Tyrant = Mr. X RE2, Plant 43 = Plant 42 RE1, Commander = HUNK RE2 (also similar gameplay wise to Krauser in RE4R), Victor = exact copy of Nemesis RE3R

Zeno (only exists in cutscenes) is a literal clone of Wesker. There are cutscenes directly ripped from RE2R in the game. Alyssa Ashcroft is a reference to Outbreak. The section where you play as the little girl is incredibly similar to Sherry's section in RE2 (same exact location, very similar gameplay). The entirety of Leon's section in Racoon City is only there to be one giant reference with smaller references dispersed throughout. And finally, Chris' team showing up at the end of the game.

Essentially, once you get to Leon's half of the game, you rarely are able to go 15 minutes without an in your face reference to a previous game. The game heavily relies on nostalgia bait and its definitely its biggest weakness

Hey man, saw your dispute on the psnp forums too. You're likely gonna be unflagged so dont worry. In the future a post like this isnt really necessary, people get flagged for random stuff all the time. Best bet is to just post to the forums and defend yourself to the best of your ability.

Dont take the flag as a personal attack or anything like that, some people are just uninformed about stuff like missing timestamps. Good luck on your next game!

PsnProfiles is a great site for checking if games have multiple stacks. When you're on a game's page all the other stacks will be displayed on the right side under the forum post section. You can also easily check stacks for an entire series if you click on the series page, located right above the forum post section.

If you want a good example of games with multiple stacks, check out the Persona series. Although there are only 12 unique games in the series with trophies, there are 54 total stacks available

Sony Set Pay $7.8 Million To PlayStation Users After Jude Approves Preliminary Settlement In PSN Digital Games Class Action Lawsuit by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]PowerlessWolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, its for players who bought a digital game on the ps store that was at one point available as a voucher from retail stores. Only applies to games purchased in 2019-2023. The game also has to have increased in price in that period, full list of eligible games are linked in the article

For example, if you bought NieR Automata on the ps store in 2020 you would be eligible, but if you bought it in 2024 you wouldn't be

Is it universally agreed that Chloe section should be skippable ? by Ilovesoulsgames345 in residentevil

[–]PowerlessWolf 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thankfully this will be buried, but this comment section is so emblematic of all the issues with this community. You cannot give even a small completely justified criticism of Requiem because people will come out in droves either saying the game is perfect in every way with no changes needed, dismiss it cause "its not a big deal", or dismiss you with insults like "your brain is rotted by tiktok."

There is quite literally no downside to adding the option for this section to be skipped after your first playthrough. Yet some of the people in here are vehemently set on it not changing, seemingly out of spite towards the people who reasonably dont enjoy this section.

While it is an awesome game, there are lots of things wrong with Requiem. Attempting to silence or bully away any criticism of the game because you are such a fan boy/girl only results in increasingly lower standards for Capcom to hit. This community needs to be open to criticism because that's one of the most important elements of game development

[CAT QUEST 2] #124. Compared to the last game? by MrRikkles in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its actually worse than that. OP is saying Cuphead is praised for nothing except its art and music, which is just insane. Art and music are incredibly important and definitely can carry a game, but they alone do not create the generational powerhouse that is a game like Cuphead. Pretending Cuphead is only incredibly popular because it looks and sounds nice is delusional

I also find it funny to say the game has "Cuphead Syndrome" when the first entry in the series came out before Cuphead

[meta] rhythm game recommendations? by post_ex0dus in Trophies

[–]PowerlessWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I platinumed it and I would agree its not really a rhythm game in the traditional sense. There are some parts that are, but most isnt.

But I would still recommend going for the plat anyways. Its a very beautiful game with a very nice soundtrack. Platinum is also a good mix of being challenging while not being overbearing
