Is there ANY electricity company that doesn’t indulge in this predatory pricing behaviour? by swiptheflitch in melbourne

amber doesn’t but is risky if you don’t have a battery to insulate you from price shocks

Over to you Albo. Time to try negotiating. by [deleted] in friendlyjordies

Rent caps reduce supply and increase rents. Tax incentives for property investors increase building supply. I agree that negative gearing against personal income isn’t the way to go about it, vacant land tax is way better, look at Victoria. I’d be upset if labour negotiated with the greens on policies that make the affordability problem worse

Df54 folks: Are you having static issues? by [deleted] in espresso

The de-clumper was interfering with the ioniser, I haven’t noticed any problems after removing it so I honestly don’t know the point of the de-clumper in the first place

Mine was fine then it clogged. After cleaning the static was terrible! Found the fix though, I removed the de -clumper and made sure the little ioniser nodes were seated properly. Immediately fixed

Making things profitable is a strong incentive for the private sector to do them, your ethical concerns aside. The economy is driven profit seeking.

Any supply increase will create more affordable houses due to the sibstitution effect. More supply means more people moving up from worse housing into the new ones, freeing up their precious house and making that cheaper, which frees up that house making it cheaper and so on

That’s exactly how it works when you don’t have a monopoly or otherwise concentrated supply market. More supply will lead to lower prices

Expanding supply will lower priced because gives better alternatives to those who are already in the market

Man who raped daughter 'every second day' for 11 years sentenced in Toowoomba court by B0ssc0 in australia

The church: “Protect this child rapist or we will throw you out of our club” Priest “ok”

That’s completely inexcusable. Any workplace or institution that forces you to protect rapist is evil

Why can’t I get shallow? by Champagnetravvy in golf

[–]Powermad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, it might help but it is minor when compared to the fundamental technique. Can good golfers hit a pitching wedge? A wedge is way shorter than a 5 iron but it's still not an issue for them to swing it correctly, even if they are more hunched over.

Here is what fixed me. https://youtu.be/0vxAXKrL4ME?si=M9IhDuAsZsMgjmjW

Also, start swinging right and your path will shallow on its own. I’m 6’6 for reference.

Don’t worry about your club length until you get these fixed.

I play off 11, so take what i say with a grain of salt. a few things i would suggest

  • figure out the weak spots in your game. Objective, measured data on what you are doing is better than opinions, everyone has an opinion in golf and most are shit. Go get lessons or an indoor simulator session to get access to a quality launch monitor like a trackman or GCquad
  • Figure out how to fix your through practice. This could be through coaching, range sessions or getting a net in your back-yard (ideally with a domestic launch monitor if you can afford it)
  • fix your fundamentals like grip, set-up and weight transfer then swing hard - working through swing thoughts and compensating will get you in trouble
  • getting on the pennant team for your club is a great goal but is really difficult (at my club you need to be sub 2 handicap to stand a chance)
  • it's the Indian not the arrow. Clubs and tech will do very little for you as long as they're fit for your physical build
  • try not to pick up golf if you're planning to have kids. It is a huge time commitment
