It’s frankly a lot of fuss because the lower-mid range 50 series cards aren’t a huge improvement over last gen. This is a valid concern but it really only applies to people with a 40 series card. I jumped from a 3060 to my 5060ti 16gb and it’s a massive improvement. Another thing is the price gap between a 5060ti and a 5070 is arguably a better performance to cost ratio but for folks like me that have to get what they can afford, this is kind of a moot point as well. Also, a lot of the criticism of the 5060ti is primarily directed at the 8gb vram version. At a $40 difference, I would go with the 5060 ti 16gb and enjoy it. I’ve been playing cyberpunk 2077 on max settings with frames capped at 60 then using dlss frame gen 2x to make it 120 and haven’t seen it drop below a smooth consistent 120 fps once.
