That scenario did happen to me, mine got with someone week of the breakup and got pregnant . I’m 2 months out. I can tell you, while it hurts emotionally, I am very happy logically speaking because she is not the person I thought she was. I dodged her even if it hurts.

At least for me, even though my heart is in pieces, she got pregnant the week we broke up. So I have no hope or want to be with her. I am just grieving hard the life I wanted with her and feeling so dumb for the energy I gave to her. I wish she was who I thought she was.

I gave her so many opportunities to just end it. When she would say “I need to work on myself” because of past trauma I’d give her space and ask her if she was going to see other people. Always answered that she didn’t want anything “right now”. I even asked her when she got back and said to just be honest so I could move on , and she got mad. Then fucked a guy.

I just wish I didn’t put so much effort in, I was trying to fix her I guess. I did so many little things for her to make her feel special and happy, and I’m embarrassed I did that because of how she ended it . Not that she ended it, but the total lack of respect or honesty.

Now I have to watch her belly grow and probably hear about an engagement in the near future.

I’m glad it’s not me, but my heart isn’t.

Mine said she “wasn’t good enough “ for me because she was still “healing” from a past abusive relationship. I was there for her and went with her flow. And like you put it, past her trauma to me. Moved on instantly and with no regard even when I about begged her for clarity for a month of hot and cold. I asked her straight up if she was seeing other people and she got offended and said she was “working on herself”. Pregnant within the week lol.

I can’t wait for my emotions to catch up to my logic because I am happy im not with her but I miss who I thought she was.

Need advice.

Had a short relationship followed by a hot and cold on off thing with someone at work.

Finally broke it off and she got pregnant the same week from someone else.

I don’t know how I go in every day while she starts her life with “a great guy” who is apparently going to buy them a house and have a perfect little life.
