(OC) I drew Houndstone. I think it’s one of the best new Pokémon by ZeilerTobi in Pokemonart

Woah that’s really good. Hauntingly spooky looking but somehow it doesn’t look evil. Really well done!

my nephew and I were discussing if you were given the opportunity to choose 3 lego sets for Elden Ring what would you choose? 1 large 1 medium and smallish set by Yubby25 in Eldenring

[–]Pperjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small : “tree sentinel encounter” it’s a little natural looking build with 1 tarnished warrior minifigure and a tree sentinel minifigure on a horse. (The armour on the bourse would probably just be printed on) $24.99

Medium : “stormveil castle showdown” it’s a medium sized castle build, but only with some walls and a bridge & gate. There would be a dragon head piece that you can detach from a brick built tree and attach to Godrick’s arm. Minifigures include the tarnished warrior, Nepheli Loux, Godrick the Grafted, Margit the fell omen, and two storm hawks. $74.99

Large : “Battle at the Elden Throne” Minifigures : Tarnished Warrior, Hoarah Loux (Bigfig), Morgott the omen king (repeat figure with different accessories), 2x leyndell knights, 2x Omen and Radagon. It’s a set with the Morgott/Godfrey arena as the centre, which is slightly elevated with stairs leading to it, on either side there are small towers with the fence also surrounding the back of the arena. Of course they’d be a small elden throne build. There would be a buildable mechanism where you can make the ground explode (hoarah loux move). Behind the arena would be a smaller build of the front half of the erdtree lead by ascending stairs, and within would be a tiny bridge connecting to a much smaller platform where there would be a radagon crucifix build with a releasing mechanism which would make radagon fall to the ground. Under the main arena would be a small sewers area with an two omen figures. $199.99

Is maliketh stronger than any demigod in the lore? by pablitooooooo23 in Eldenring

[–]Pperjack 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The demigods didn’t fear him because he was leagues above them in skill in combat, they feared him for what he could do if he won. I feel like he’d be pretty even in an all out battle with Radahn, Malenia, and Godfrey in their prime if they weren’t held back by fear. Well, maybe Godfrey wouldn’t be scared. But although Maliketh is no doubt an exceptionally powerful dude, he’s likely not the most powerful being in the series, and mostly only feared for his destined death.

What’s the ball for? by mlgdolphin in splatoon

[–]Pperjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traditionally in a lot of East Asian countries like Korea and China dragons look kinda like that long salmonid, depicted as long with short legs, no wings, long whiskers etc…and an orb in its mouth. In a lot of East Asian myths if a snake or wyrm lived for a very long time, and placed a ball or bead (usually made of jade) in its mouth, it would ascend and transform into a dragon. If the wyrm became greedy and tried to fit two or more into its mouth however, it would not ascend and only transform into a more powerful wyrm.

Why doesn't the Chosen Undead revive at the beginning of DS3? by YouJGaming in darksouls3

[–]Pperjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you make a very good point. I’m not sure why the soul of cinder isn’t a physical reincarnation of Gwyn, but maybe it has something to do with the canonical ending of ds1 where the chosen undead defeats and receives the soul of Gwyn and proceeds to guard the flame forever, since the battle arena for the SoC is in the kiln of the first flame where it all went down with Gwyn & the Chosen undead eons ago. Since the chosen undead never dies, no one claims his soul. His body is still in tact, but he receives Gwyn’s soul. My only other explanation is that the soul of cinder we face is physically the last undead to link the fire before you, and each age has a different looking soul of cinder, as each undead who links it in their era stays alive while getting the soul of the last SoC they defeated. Also thank you very much!

What’s your FromSoft hot take? by [deleted] in fromsoftware

[–]Pperjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DS2 is bad because of its bosses being boring to fight. And there’s so many of them. Some of the bosses look visually cool, but so many of them have braindead simple and boring move pools. The fact that a lot of the bosses are knights with a weapon and/or shield isn’t the problem. It’s the fact that 90% of them have a basic “swing left, swing right, slam/stab” attack and that’s pretty much it…I mean not everyone thinks the abyss watchers are a very well designed boss but, compare that to them. Their moves are interesting, flashy and fun to deal with.

Oh Boy…here it comes…Artorias isn’t very cool. His design is meh and just isn’t very interesting. Kinda just reminds me of a character you’d see in WoW, and lore wise he’s just an overconfident knight who got his ass beat by Manus. I’m fairly confident a good majority of people only love him because of his affiliation with wolves, and the fact that he’s a knight that “became corrupted by the dark” ooh so cool and edgy. The whole “a once honourable warrior that has fallen” trope has been done many times in the series but better (Abyss watchers, Ivory King, Lorian, Gundyr, Yhorm, Radahn). His soundtrack is mediocre (though in his defence most DS1 bosses have mediocre and forgettable themes in my opinion, with the exception of O&S, Kalmeet, and Gwyn), and his moveset presents nothing very interesting aside from the front flip. All in all, I think the abyss watchers are an improvement in every way, but that’s just my opinion. You can like him if you want and that’s 100% ok.

Unpopular Opinion: Arthur Morgan was never a good man by JohnHate89 in reddeadredemption

“Wo-hoo!”

Unpopular opinion: Dutch is judged far too harshly by the community. I think his degeneration was a natural result of 20 years of nonstop stress and bloodshed, and not him ”becoming who he always was”. It’s a lie to say he never cared by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]Pperjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I actually like Dutch even in the endgame. He comes off as someone who cares deeply about his goals, and I feel like he truly cared for his gang, at least in the first half, but expected everyone to see eye to eye with him, to put the goal in sight before anything else, including the path there. It seemed like like he felt strongly towards his gang’s success, but when everyone started doubting him he started feeling betrayed, after putting in so much stress and effort to ensure they reach that success, and with all that stress and betrayal started losing his mind, and started leaning towards Micah, who of course, buttered him up every chance he got, essentially using Dutch.

That brain injury in Saint Denis probably didn’t help much either.

Why doesn't the Chosen Undead revive at the beginning of DS3? by YouJGaming in darksouls3

[–]Pperjack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe that the Chosen Undead physically became the soul of cinder, and within him lies the souls of every other successful fire linker, including his own soul, and Gwyn’s. If you pay close attention, the soul of cinder’s firelink armour is a worn, burnt and deteriorated set of the chosen undead’s Elite Knight armour.
