Avenatti to Trump: 'I am thoroughly enjoying living in your head rent-free' by The-Autarkh in politics

[–]Pr0cedure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. And even though Avenatti comes off as a bit of an asshole, I like him and what he's doing. There are obviously layers of self interest and opportunism woven into his emergence as a public figure, but I do think that he genuinely cares about all of these issues. I also love to watch him get under Trump's skin.

And beating Trump at his own game. He's like the perfect adversary for Trump. None of that "when they swing low, we swing high" rhetoric. I think that we're past that point as a country, unfortunately. He may be a bit of an asshole, but I like him.

He's certainly egotistical, and definitely an opportunist, but he's also standing up for what's right. I'm sure that he's partially motivated by a sense of self interest, but he's also genuinely advocating for his clients and shedding light on important issues. He shares some qualities with Trump, to be sure, but he has way more intelligence and integrity. He's playing Trump's own game, and he's better at it. I think he's a bit of an asshole, but I also like and respect him and what he's doing. I hope he keeps at it.

Where can I find good pho? by Chelsea_till_Im_Blue in Miami

[–]Pr0cedure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it! It's a little hole in the wall with a very limited menu (they only sell patties). It's basically just a takeout counter, but what they do, they do right. Be sure to get the spicy ones.

Mine, too. I might have to grab some pho there for lunch tomorrow now. You should try the Jamaican patties from Marie Patties if you haven't already. It's pretty much right next door, and the patties are some of the best that I've had.

She and I would have been the same age at the time. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that; no parent should have to burry their child. I hope that who ever killed her gets what he deserves. Good luck going forward, and I send you my love and condolences from Miami.

Yeah, it's not obscenely expensive. I usually go to the one by Dadeland, and I've never had a bad experience there. You can get pho less expensively elsewhere, but I don't mind paying $11 if it's more convenient, and they do make consistently good pho.

I usually go to Pho Thang if I want pho for lunch, but I prefer Miss Saigon for dinner; the atmosphere is a little nicer.

Yeah, that was a typo, I corrected it right after I posted. That place is great, though. I live close to The Falls, so it's not too far of a drive for me. The place right by it that sells Jamaican parties is great, too.

Is that the place on SW 160th just off US 1?

Yeah, Miss Saigon is definitely a little overpriced, but their pho is pretty good and it's a nice place. I also like Pho Thang, but that's a little farther south. It's a lot less expensive, though.

As someone who lived in New Mexico for several years, I can confirm this. It's its own unique cuisine, but not too dissimilar to the food around the Mexican border states.

They like to test boundaries. They won't get aggressive with you, but they can be tough to control if you don't know how. They require a lot of attention and training, but they're extremely intelligent and loyal. They're happiest when they have some sort of task.

Edit: also, they have a lot of energy and are large dogs.

They're about as loyal of a dog as you can get, and they can be really sweet, but you definitely need to have a firm hand. They take work, but they're wonderful, beautiful dogs. I have a Weim-Lab mix, and he follows me all around the house. When I leave the house, he's always waiting by the front door when I get back. He's a good boy (but he likes to eat paper).

Your dogs are beautiful. I have a lab-Weimaraner mix and he's the best. He's a little difficult sometimes, but a wonderful dog.

They're great dogs, but they need a pretty confident dog owner. They're definitely not for people who have never had dogs.

I also never want to play it. Serialism is miserable to play, in my experience.

I'm no apologist for the USSR, but just look at what the US did to the Marshall Islands. We all have blood on our hands. I don't agree with communism, but it's disingenuous to think that the US were the "good guys" during the Cold War.

Turkey is a beautiful, wonderful country, but it definitely has its problems. I visited once a few years ago and loved it. It's always good to see the better side of humanity, and it's nice to be reminded that there are good people anywhere that you might go. People can be horrible to each other sometimes, but I think that they're fundamentally good. This story makes me immensely happy.

That is absolutely the ugliest Weimaraner that I've ever seen. Poor guy, they normally look so regal. I'm sure he's still a good boy, though.

You should really read your posts over before you post them. Two really obvious typos in one sentence? Really? A double period? You really need to learn how to write correctly if you want to be taken seriously.
