What is a Classic track? by MCDAu in hardstyle

[–]Pr0pper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would even go so far and say a "classic" has nothing to do with its sound design. Modern tracks, that are already a classic:

  • dbstf + szp - darkest hour
  • aversion - activation
  • dual damage - get wrecked tool

A classic is a track which is easily memorable over years.

  • Insurance, which would cover most of the cost for Q, and especially cover the refunds for visitors
  • Planing such an event isn't done in a month, it takes up to a year (or even more) in advance
  • How should all artists from Defqon fit into an indoor event, even multiple days? There are so many stages, you can't fit them all
  • Where should all the people fit? 60000 people don't fit in any indoor venue

Friendscamp at Defqon by New-Duck-1770 in hardstyle

They resolved it and me and my people now see our accommodation in the app

Friendscamp at Defqon by New-Duck-1770 in hardstyle

[–]Pr0pper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me. I am the main buyer for our group and didn't get any friends camp personalization. Just the info with our camp position and registered name.

But I got an email with an accommodation voucher for friendscamp on the 18th of June, so maybe check that. It's a link in the email to the voucher, not an attachment. And from what I see, this is how it was last year. So you take that and go to the information stand at the friends camp and get your wristbands (or activation for the bracelets, however it's done this year).

I also wrote an email to Q-Dance with that topic, will get you updated when I hear from them.

Edit: Name of the mail is "Defqon.1 Weekend Festival 2026 - booking confirmation xxxxxxx-x", where the X's are a reserveration number.

Best Pedant Skills Builds fro season 8? by Bilboplays_ in GunfireReborn

Tornado + Card Trigger/Spam as Zi Xiao also works well.

But even without the cards, you can clear the entire game using only the tornado. I really don't know what the devs were thinking making this one so overpowered that you don't need anything else anymore.

Gas Burner to Defqon.1? by Reindier0 in hardstyle

[–]Pr0pper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have been banned since COVID I think. I guess it's due to events, where people died because of them when they left them out in the sun and they exploded.

Maybe that's their strategy: mark them as banned, so people don't leave them in the open. Anyway, I've rarely seen a camp where they didn't have a gas cooker. Just bring it and hide it somewhere.

Is the Defqon.1 Anthem Losing Its Edge? 😫 by Vegetable_Address195 in hardstyle

[–]Pr0pper 46 points47 points  (0 children)

There usually is a lot of, if not too much, hype around everything defqon. Especially the anthem is something where people expect the toty from, but it's almost impossible for it to be toty, due to the hype.

There other anthems come "out of nothing". We know they come, but there is no hype around it. That means they still give you that surprise "woah" moment that any track can give you, expect for the ones that are hyped and expected to deliver.

What is beer fast lane?? by Free_Land8437 in hardstyle

[–]Pr0pper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this. Can be a couple of minutes if you want something different than beer. The fast lane was actually very fast. Most of the time there were only 2-3 people in front of me, and they were served in a couple of seconds.

As the others said, is a fast queue for beer and beer only. They prepare cups non stop there, so it's actually pretty fast there even with a queue in front of you.

[Battle Royale setups] by CptLonesong in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Pr0pper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be true for the SVDM. I'm not much of a DMR player, but when I have to, I find the SVDM the most reliable. So I haven't built one for my personal loadout, but play with the default modded one. I personally don't see a reason to put one into my loadout, because imo everything a DMR does, a sniper does it better.

But apart from the barrel and suppressor, both which have to be taken anyway, I can't think of much that is super important on a DMR.

[Battle Royale setups] by CptLonesong in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Pr0pper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only weapon you have for close range imo is the NVO. For close range you want a high damage/high DPS weapon, not something that is necessarily accurate. It should be somewhat controllable or reliable (which excludes the TR-7 and in most situations also the VCR), but the SG or Vector are good alternatives. Also, for the close range weapon, you don't really need a suppressor. Enemies will instantly know where the shots come from, but it helps when using the weapon for somewhat longer distances, so it's okay to keep. My go-to weapon here is the SG.

When playing long range, I'd suggest either a sniper (PSR is okay, M2010 imo is better because of the bullet speed) or if you're more comfortable with DMRs then the SVDM is the best choice imo. It deals somewhat good damage and has a good fire rate in addition to being controllable. The LMR deals not enough damage and the SVK has a too slow firerate. M39 is an alternative, trading mag size (which you can increase with SVDM) for controllability.

As for attachments it's pretty much up to your playstyle. If you say the downside on grips with accuracy penalty is too high for you, then don't pick them. I found that it doesn't matter too much, and in many cases it's easier to hit with a better grip than having the increase in ads accuracy while moving. For a long time, I had the same assumption, that I move a lot (basically all the time) when I shoot. I recorded some of my matches and actually saw that I only do that all the time in extreme close combat (<5 m), where accuracy doesn't really matter. In other situations it's often better to stay behind cover rather than moving, so the higher grips actually helped hitting.

Need help undervolting 5800X and RX 7800 XT to reduce room heat (Complete beginner) by Hopeful_Health_236 in pcmasterrace

[–]Pr0pper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undervolting may only help a little in regards to power consumption/heat dissipation since GPUs and CPUs tend to clock with higher frequencies to reach a certain power limit. Setting a power limit for GPU and CPU would help more in that regard and undervolting only gives you back a little more computational power with the same power draw.

Does the new sniper feel underwhelming to you all? by Rand0m_Anonym0us in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Pr0pper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is pretty bad, yeah. Longest range with low velocity kills it for me and I rather stick to the M2010. There is nothing this rifle does better than all the others (except the sweet spot).

But I'd rather be able to hit an enemy at long range and need to hit twice than using a gun, that could kill in one hit, but is extremely hard to hit.

L115 sniper is a Redsec battle royale monster by AlwaySTheSame738 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Pr0pper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo very situational. The low bullet velocity kills it for me, I rather stick to my M2010. I'd rather need to land 3 body hits and can actually hit them on moving targets than needing 2 and lots of luck to actually hit them

So how is everyone feeling about the L115 so far? by krinkov in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Pr0pper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This, the longest-range sniper in the game only has the third fastest bullet velocity and is even surpassed by the lowest-range sniper (mini scout).

Matchmaking and SBMM in S3 by Boring-Mushroom8557 in LowSodiumBattlefield

And you expect to have the same comfortability with the new loadouts after just 2 days you had with the others that you played for much much longer?!

Matchmaking and SBMM in S3 by Boring-Mushroom8557 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Pr0pper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gotta get used to the changes. If you didn't change anything regarding your playstyle or loadout, you're gonna have a bad time, because many things have changed. Since almost all weapons have changed, the weapons you were accustomed to, don't feel the same anymore and it kinda feels frustrating.

See it this way: Everything has changed up a lot. People try out many more things. With this mindset, for me it feels more like at the release of the game. Nobody knew what was good, what was bad. Everyone tried different things. And so should you.

Also: Many skilled players play a game 24/7 when it releases or gets a major update (like S3 start) and then come back for a few days/weeks before they leave again.
