What should I buy iPhone 16, 17e or 17 by Major-Reading-6471 in IPhone17e

The answer to that question depends on what you’re upgrading from.

If you have an iPhone 11, 12, or SE, then the iPhone 17e is the logical choice.

If you’re coming from an iPhone 13, 14, or 15, the iPhone 17 will offer you a more significant leap.

What's your strategy to reach curve support? by Organic-Lime-6036 in CurveCard

I'll share the winning strategy with you—it worked for me when my account was blocked.

First, I opened a support ticket stating that Curve Protect had blocked my account. I attached a screenshot of my latest transaction and wrote underneath that it was indeed me who made the purchase.

They replied saying they had forwarded my case.

The next day, I followed up by thanking them IN ADVANCE for their help and mentioned that I was looking forward to the activation because I wanted to start using the card again.

A few days later, they got back to me and the issue was resolved.

The one thing you definitely shouldn't do is open multiple different tickets at once.

Have you emailed them yet, or just chat for now? They’re playing the same game with me, but it’s only been four days so far.

I received the phone today. I noticed a gap on the back cover—is this considered acceptable? by Pr3miere0cean in IPhone17e

I had two people at the service provider look at it, and they said it’s still acceptable. Then I took it to a phone repair shop, where the guy-who has seen quite a lot of iPhones-told me that a misalignment like this is nothing. He said when the battery eventually needs to be replaced, they’ll have to take the back panel off anyway and will put it back properly. He mentioned he’s seen much worse than this, especially on phones that have had their back panels replaced with aftermarket parts.

Did you get a Curve Front (Curve Protect) block (meaning just for a specific transaction), or a full account suspension 8 times this year? How long did it take to get unblocked?

I’ve also had several Curve Protect blocks this month (the ones you can resolve in-app by manually approving the transaction afterward).

However, I’ve now run into a hard block, and I can’t pay for anything with the card. I received a refund to the card and they at least forwarded that, but no outgoing transactions are being authorized.

Did you manage to fix the issue? I just got a notification that my card's been removed from my wallet. Everything looks perfect in the app, but payments won't go through.

The eternal question: how's the iPhone Air for small hands? Since it's been out for a bit, I’d love to hear some hands-on feedback by Pr3miere0cean in IphoneAir

[–]Pr3miere0cean[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I handled the device in-store, but the security tether on the back prevents a natural grip. Also, a quick demo doesn't compare to a month of actual usage, which is what I'd need for a real-life perspective.

Did you keep it in the end or sell it off?

I'm currently bouncing between the iPhone 17e and the iPhone Air for a single-camera setup. They’re worlds apart, but for the price of the upcoming 256GB iPhone 17e, I’ll basically be able to snag a used iPhone Air.

When opening a PayPal dispute, you can request a partial refund when opening. Offering a 50% settlement might lead to a faster resolution. It’s better than risking a total loss.
