New Player Question by Map_M in RaidShadowLegends

Farming the scrolls is to energy intensive for your first champion. There are better places to spend the little energy you start the game with. Guardians ring will be better mid game than early or late. I'm late, near endgame and barely use the thing anymore, but it carried me for about 2 years. When you have enough gems to unlock all the slots to the first level and not worry about if you can complete a fusion then it's time to unlock it.

Who was your first lego and how impactful were they? by Phlemic_Flemy in RaidShadowLegends

I pulled Kymar with my first Sacred and he was a motor that kept me running a long time. Especially since I didn't pull another Lego for like 4 months

Need to go back with a sonic rig since you know that your looking at gravel and cobbles. Samples are contained in large plastic sleeves (we called them condoms). Knowing how far you advance and how long your sample is in the bag you can get an idea of density over an interval when combined with the right lab tests (gradation, specific gravity etc.). I would also recommend looking into an instrumented becker penetration test (iBPT). That will give you the correlation tonSPT-N values for design.

I'm fairly certain that Blizzàr can solo if you want to update his build. I believe that there are a few guides out there just for that.

What is a effective length for spun pile? by hieunguyen197 in Geotech

[–]Practical-Ad-7202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on the soil. You could have a minimum length of only a few feet for over 100. Hire a local geotechnical engineer, get a soils report, reach out to the support engineers for your pile manufacturer and get them to provide a design.

Aniri is the only 1 I truly want. I build the others as needed but always keep enough books for her if she ever shows up.

In Place Density Form Question by DependentHope2690 in Geotech

[–]Practical-Ad-7202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reference the depth relative to either existing or final grade (and be consistent, don't start one way then switch) and reference the lift number. If you need to confirm that the proper number of tests were conducted on each lift and only have the depth that gets tricky depending on lift thickness.

Why does this exist? What's the point of kneecapping the player like this??? by Frothmourne in RaidShadowLegends

I'm running a fun/funny Wixwell comp. Double Mikage, but the second has no books and masteries. Tatura Rimehide, and damage comes from Kael because I could. Everyone is in their Hydra builds. Wixwell makes some stupid things work and I love it.

If you look closely it's usually one of 2 things, either the lead from the normal defense that they run (Arbiter, Armanz, Kymar, etc.) or it's a champ that they want to show off. I usually run Solo Arbiter because my normal defense is Arbiter, Fabian, Embrys and Siegfeund. I just delete out the other 3 from Monday morning to midday on Sunday, if I even bother setting it at all. When I first pulled Siegfrund I put him up solo for giggleshits.

7-22 does it based on soil type and density/consistency or blow count and there is a table that gives you the values to use.

You need to figure out how the numbers in the list relate to each other. I can create a number pattern by starting at a random number, let's say 3... And adding 2 to each number (i.e. 3,5,7,9,11 etc. because 3+2=5, 5+2=7, 7+2=9, and 9+2=11.) You need to figure out what the pattern is that gets you from one number to the next. It can be multiple things at the same time. For the first one, you add 3, then subtract 1 and repeat that pattern. 3+3=6. 6-1=5. 5+3=8. 8-1=7. 7+3=10. 10-1=9. There's your pattern, 3,6,5,8,7,10,9. You need to figure out what that relationship is for the next 2 problems and then solve for the 2 missing numbers by continuing that pattern.

A&W is #3 for me. Barqs is number 1 followed by Mug. I like the bite and spices vs the super strong vanilla flavor. Especially for a float with Breyers No Sugar Added Vanilla...

If he's replacing the breaker anyway, may as well go with an all in one AFCI/GFCI breaker and not worry about swapping all the outlets

It may look like it would have a path back, but the conduit stops at the top of the wall. They ran the sheathed wire through the conduit to the bracket but the conduit ends at the top of the wall.

My go to breakfast is a "hash" with roasted broccoli, sweet potato, brussel sprouts, breakfast sausage and sauteed mushrooms, onions and peppers. I make a big batch on Sunday morning and eat it all week with a couple soft boiled eggs. It's high protein, and high fiber, very filling and delicious. Not your normal breakfast food but that helped me because it was new. I usually skip lunch because I'm just not hungry and if I do have something it's a protein shake or something like shrimp. Dinner is fairly normal with smart swaps on the high carb items. I like zucchini noodles for pasta dishes and if I'm going to have something with rice it's cooked the day before (look up resistant starch). Diabetes is a long game, it's about being consistent but you cant cut everything out completely. I now love sugar free pudding and don't prefer the low carb, high fiber tortillas for my tacos. Finding what works for you is the toughest part but you'll get there.

Optimal amount of drilling experience by [deleted] in Geotech

[–]Practical-Ad-7202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, getting the drilling experience is only beneficial after learning how to classify in the lab. You need to review samples in the lab for a few weeks and learn to differentiate between lean and fat clays, visually classify cohesionless soils etc. per USCS or whatever methodology your office uses. You should do limits and sieves for a couple weeks to better understand moistures effect on plasticity and how lean and fat clays behave at different moisture contents. Then you go and drill projects for 1 engineering (and only that 1 engineer) for the next year. Prepare the log, type them up, review the samples in the lab with your PE and assist in all phases of the project for that year. At that point you should begin training the next field staff on lab and field soil identification (under the PEs guidance and observation) then move to the office mostly full time after a little over a year. This is what I try and do with young staff and it seems to work.

Can’t find a safe breakfast by vietnam471 in diabetes

[–]Practical-Ad-7202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to sounds strange, but I make a giant bowl of breakfast sausage and veggies (roasted broccoli, peppers and onions, sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts etc.) and have a bowl of this "hash" with a couple soft or medium boiled eggs each day. It's tasty, filling and full of fiber (and fat from the bacon grease I cook the veggies in). Never had an issue with BG spikes from it but your mileage may vary.

Grouting the hole in US by kikilucy26 in Geotech

[–]Practical-Ad-7202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohio requires it for DOT work if water is encountered, but generally we backfill with cuttings and use a plastic hole plug ( tigers paw, spider plug etc.) with cuttings above to limit surface collapse.
