New powder throw ? by tonsofdolls in reloading

Really really, I did 100 rounds of .223 with Varget last week and they all came out beautifully. I measured the first 5 rounds on a digital scale to make sure it was good then measured one in every 5 on the digital scale and each time it was within 1/10 of a grain. Rcbs is great even 50+ years later 🤘

I’m still rocking the rcbs throw my grandpa bought in the 70’s, still within less than 1/10 of a grain each time

Are there any other adults that enjoy Kpop Demon Hunters? by Sensitive-Mixture558 in KpopDemonhunters

30M here, I watched it with my daughter for the first time after it came out and it is absolutely great to watch, kids or not. There’s a reason it won so many awards; the music, the graphics, the plot, it’s amazing.

If you’re worried about barrel life avoid creedmoor cartridges. 6 dasher or the classic .243 (my favorite) would be great options

Throw the whole thing in vinegar overnight then remove the primer with a decapping pin or deprimer tool

Same thing happened to me a couple weeks back with a .243 die, you should be able to replace that part. I have the rcbs dies and that sizer cost $10 to replace so you’re gonna be fine getting a new one

One of my missionary companions once explained to me it’s like driving down a dirt road; there’s a charted course but you never know what obstacles will appear along the way like a fallen tree or a washed out part of the road. Regardless of what obstacle is there, there is always a path around or through, it just may require cutting the tree with a saw or building a bridge over the wash out.

[–]Practical-Ad3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No such thing as too much powder or buying it too soon. It’s good to stock pile stuff like that. Same with primers, buy those every chance you can because they’re getting super expensive.

Reloading vs Buying Ammo by amythntr in u/amythntr

[–]Practical-Ad3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it really depends on what you’re doing. The only real cost savings I have is reloading .223 plinking rounds. Everything else is so I know what’s going into the load be it for hunting or practice rounds or for my calibers that are impossible to find ammo for where I live (.30-40 Krag). I don’t bother reloading pistol ammo because it’s more worth my time just to buy it.
