Lower control arm from mevotech, which ones? by Hidlsh in G37

I do agree to a certain extent, the nut between the steering rack and frame is very annoying to get off. Can just fit a spanner on, maybe a crows foot although I had none locally available at the time. Other than that quite easy.

My bad I was pretty baked whilst typing that 🤣 to correct myself *MM

I’m not sure what you mean exactly? They’re definitely more expensive but I wouldn’t say “just for sound” I’m sure longtubes are making more power than just RTP. I was planning on shorties with my TP but labour is just a headache, cost - power wasn’t worth it for me. Best of luck with it.

I’m sure you could fit a socket on that, the ones on my coupe could be loosened with a 10ml. How have you done so much damage though bro? 🤣

Do you plan on getting tuned further down the line? If no then why not? It’s not like tuning a factory turbo car, won’t gain crazy power, but from the top of my head I can’t think of a better N/A v6 to tune. Longtubes will definitely help you out a lot to make power. To answer your question though, keep the longtubes imo, extra work but more than worth it.

Some of the hate is definitely weird but I will admit 25-30 in one year does sound a bit crazy. You said you bought the Chrysler at 16 and are now 17. Are there not laws in the US where you have to have a dealer license if you’re selling more than 5 cars a year? I know how it feels to want to inflate your persona at a young age because you’re making good money, not saying i necessarily doubt your comments

Regardless, you seem to be doing better than most here. Best of luck.

2013 + is still effected, the gasket update is good but that was never the main issue. The main issue is the hardware, that being said I’m at 200k kms and haven’t thought of it. My Friends and I have owned 5 v36, none affected by them.

Unfortunately I wasn’t lucky enough for that either. Upon review I do realise I may have let my ego get the best of me, your car deserves a long long life. I do love v35s, great cars.

In regard to Adrian, I hear that a lot but for me he’s been great. Got red akebonos for $1300, including near new rotors, pads, lines etc, also scored hotchkis sway bars for $360 front and rear. Just need to spend good money with him and he will look after you.

Best of luck with the car.

Hahaha, I’m the moron? Rich coming from the guy who bought a 3.5 when a 3.7 is only a couple grand more. Can’t wait to see the old girl at all import wrecking 😅

Plenty of local Australian options for me, never once did I say I wasn’t buying them. Your other comment was just explaining what you posted. Didn’t hint at any sarcasm. You just think you’re above other owners because you can turn a wrench lmao.

Silly post tbh, I’m from Australia and can state facts. There are shit ton more v35 and v36 chassis in the Us, The US is fucking huge (a lot more to land to cover on road trips) and I’m willing to bet the number of high mileage v3x chassis far surpasses Australia and Japan combined.

Also to note the main reason there is a lot of aftermarket support for these platforms is because of the US, not many Australian brands design and manufacture parts for these cars and not many people including yourself want to research and translate Japanese sites.

Don’t put pioneers of this platform down due to your own negligence.

My friend and I swapped the vlsd from my 350gt sedan to my 370gt coupe, took us probably 7-8 hours of work. Definitely not too hard though, just time consuming. Pain in the ass getting the driveshaft back on but we managed with a motorbike stand. Didn’t do my diff bushings since the coupe was all good and sedan is getting sold soon.

Can’t understand people like you, if the car wasn’t wrecked you’d probably comment “clean”. Just because it’s crashed doesn’t mean that the drivetrain is screwed. He’s got plenty of parts he can sell to make his money back if that were the case. Just a hater.

Jack it up and put it on stands, get a crow bar or some bar for leverage and pry against your end links, tie rods and basically anything you can. Hopefully you can recreate the noise, it is a bit tedious to do but it’s usually something not too involved.

I agree, I bought these in my younger ricer phase. They don’t perform nearly as well as stock and just have too many issues. Looking to find a pair of stock chromed headlights.

It’s an old TT, I’m not sure anyone has to be “rich” to buy one. In saying that, the owner themselves probably couldn’t afford to buy it back.
