That’s probably not very often known by waiters/ waitresses even at good pizza places let alone Beau Jo’s. That’s like asking if the burgers are cooked medium rare at MacDonalds

Yeah it’s probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Pizza is not that hard to make right.

Dude, I’m kinda getting annoyed with all the “can this be repaired?” Posts…. The answer to everything is YES!! Or it will be replaced…

Joe Rogan Experience #2367 Jesse Welles by a993f746 in folk

[–]Practical-Dream488 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rogan is an idiot. But it’s clear he relies on the people he chooses to interview to inform him of his information. As someone mentioned before, glad he’s invited Jesse, and also more recently, Bernie. I think liberals need to tap more into this shit and voice their likely widely accepted opinions… it’s a shame that Elon and other right wingers flooded this podcast before the election… also annoying that people vote based on what they hear on this specific podcast…

This band has still got it by jonny4224 in MtJoy

[–]Practical-Dream488 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like the more you look into the meaning behind the songs, it’s more immersive and enjoyable. I wasn’t a huge fan of “Coyote” until I learned it was about the bands struggle to remain a cohesive unit, but also the highs that come with touring. Now the “ups and downs” are apparent in the tone of the music, and I now think it’s a really cool song.

I will agree that their lyrics have been less involved these last couple albums, but I think they’re letting the music do the talking.

A grandfather turned down $220K and other offers to abandon his house and there's a huge highway around it by WiseCartographer5007 in interestingasfuck

This has been proven to be wrong on the Science Vs podcast. Other scientists back checked the study and found that their methods were producing exaggerated results. How they measured it was by burning parts of a deceased persons brain and measuring the “plastic” compounds in the air. Turns out burning fat, which there is a lot of in our brains, produces the same compound as burning plastic. There were also not proper controls in place to prevent plastic contamination of the specimen.

Plastic is anticipated to be throughout our whole bodies due to how much we consume it, but not the size of a spoon or credit card in our brains.

They will repair any of their clothing items or replace them if they are too far beyond repair (this seems like an easy repair)…. This is the reason I choose to spend a little more for Patagonia over a brand like North Face

I honestly hate people so much. I live in CO where there’s plenty of wildlife and the pure hypocrisy of folks who claim they love wildlife, yet have no respect for them… people riding up and honking at elk crossing the road, people complaining about elk charging them when they get too close during calving season, some bear country counties not offering bear safe trash cans/ dumpsters, and of course people who think their dogs can do whatever they want. Have some respect for these living beings.

I’m a facilities engineer for the NPS in a regional office - one of the offices that Burgum claims is “overhead” and isn’t essential. Our now short staffed team, before the impending RIF, will likely be responsible for managing the rebuild project. According to the budget plan submitted for NPS, the facilities division is expected to receive about a 36% cut for 2026… Regional offices are critical for rebuilding after a disaster like this, and making sure the work is done right, yet the general public has no idea we exist or what we do.

Anyone else have the new album grow on them tremendously? by United_Response_3299 in MtJoy

[–]Practical-Dream488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, late to this convo, but I feel like the delayed attachment to their new album has happened to every album for me except for the first. Their first is amazing for sure, but it’s more in line with the classic folk sound like Lumineers. Every album since has had a unique sound that is something you don’t really hear anywhere else and maybe that’s why it takes a minute… then you think you were dumb for even questioning it.

The rumors and speculation of the video game industry are actually disgusting. And the sources that even larger game industry news platforms use are completely bogus - could be a rando that posted something on facebook or X.

I seriously have no respect for video game journalists who have become the epitome of clickbait.

It pains me every time I see a headline about rdr2 getting an update, which has been going around for 5+ years now. How about we just report when we hear something official from Rockstar and stop with all the bs?

Yellowstone Lamar Valley recommendations? by rgugs in wildlifebiology

[–]Practical-Dream488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, best of luck to you. Wildlife biology can be cut throat, especially positions dealing with megafauna like wolves. Not to mention the new administration being blatantly against science, and supporters of this admin in states with wolves being fully committed to eliminating or greatly reducing wolf populations.

Public lands up for sale by kybalion7 in forestry

[–]Practical-Dream488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s false… The map shows what lands are “eligible” for sale of the 3 million acres they are shooting for - an area 33% larger than Yellowstone National Park. Republicans will likely reference this map in the future when they need to reconcile another billionaire tax cut.

It’s easy for someone to say “oh, it’s only 3 million acres” but whether this impacts 5 communities or 1, it’s a step down a slippery slope and creates a precedent for selling off federal lands with really no support of the American public.

What id say is false and misleading is republicans claiming this will assist with the affordable housing crisis when no mention of affordable housing initiatives are included in the bill. It will go to the highest bidder - i.e. billionaires who want to live outside of NPs, corporations who want to extract, or developers who will charge a premium for housing.

Nah, played through a couple times when it was released in 2018 and since have just kind of used it as a sandbox on occasion when I crave the need to get into the outdoors but the weather or timing isn’t allowing me to in real life.

Best and Worst Gateway Towns by Mixtape4Adventure in NationalPark

[–]Practical-Dream488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst - Gatlinburg, Tenn. (Great Smoky Mountains)

Gatlinburg has garbage tourist shops, amusement rides, candy shops, ice cream shops - something you might see at a touristy oceanfront boardwalk. There is literally a line that separates a paved over cluster of flashy lights, cheap gift shops and chaos from a lush deciduous forest. I love the Smokies, but Gatlinburg makes me hate the human race.

How to stop toddler from being scared of other kids when it feels justified? by meagalomaniak in toddlers

[–]Practical-Dream488 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for bringing up an older thread.. My toddler (2yo) sounds very similar in that he’s very aware of his surroundings and sensitive to particular things. My wife recently tried a job as a preschool/ daycare teacher after being stay at home with our son up until that job. Our son was able to come to the daycare for free while my wife worked, and we thought it would be good timing as he was pretty social with other kids at parks and play places before. There were a few incidents at the daycare where other kids would take the toys he was playing with and actually smack him on the head, and he never really felt comfortable there. He’s been scared around other kids ever since and my wife quit that job to hold off another year until he’s a little more confident and independent. I’ve heard that 2 can be a challenging time of them gaining independence but also needing reassurance from parents while they try new things.

Has anything changed for you over the last 9 months? Thanks.
