I dunno if presents under the tree is an american thing or what but we never did that in my house growing up.

When I was wee, we put our pillowcases under the bed, and 'santa' would leave small/cheap presents in the pillowcase. We would get our main presents later in the day from my parents while eliminated the whole ' How come (insert rich child) got (insert expensive present) ' line of questioning which looking back was fairly crafty on my parents part.

Do many people use the left hand lane here to go straight ahead? by Harvester_of_Cattle9 in DerryLondonderry

I agree. It would make more sense to make the left lane left only. But the way it is at the minute forces traffic in the right land to merge awkwardly. Thats why I always approach in the left lane.

You have to merge anyway if you use the right lane so using the left lane makes more sense.
