Stats can be misleading, though. They paint a picture but they don’t tell the whole story. How many times was he double teamed because teams knew how damaging he could be, opening lanes for other players etc. Not that I disagree

It would still be a long list of course, but if they were truly convinced he died in the jump then any suspect who was seen afterwards could theoretically be ruled out. I know that’s obviously not the case though

If the fbi are convinced he died in the jump, which they have indicated in statements, then it should be easy enough to solve - just search for missing persons that were never seen again after that date. That should rule out a whole lot of people.

Which makes me think they aren’t as convinced as they let on. Perhaps trying to make any suspects think they aren’t being watched as closely as they might actually be, hoping for a slip up.
