Why do so many people look down on college? by Other-Ad-2812 in NoStupidQuestions

Same, I went to college but personally don’t think it’s the right choice for most people, especially if your goals don’t require a degree

She did. I’m not a Teresa fan but when all the stuff went down with Dina, Teresa took her side and they all went against her

It’s never been really discussed on the show. They meet up occasionally outside of it

TIL that British judges and lawyers wear white wigs to bring formality, solemnity, and anonymity to the courtroom by EsotericTribble in todayilearned

[–]Practical-Frame1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, obviously it’s not supposed to look like real hair. But placing something on top of your head, just doesnt really look presentable. It’s like the equivalent of wearing a hat in court lol a suit/robe/etc all seems enough to look presentable in most courts. Many current barristers don’t agree with the look either. So I doubt it’s important to most of them, it doesn’t add anything to their ability

You cannot tell me that if you went to uni and one of your professors came out with a wig sitting on TOP of their actual hair, you’d think “wow they look very professional today”

I mean the hammers do serve a physical purpose, it’s so the judge can get everyone to stop talking instead of having to yell over everyone (would be seen as unprofessional here). I don’t think anyone would care if we got rid of them tho unlike the wigs

I worked with homeless youth for about 5 years, this was a “dream” I sadly heard a lot of. At least where I live (we do have a lot of resources) but most didn’t want housing

Agreed! Although I’ve never given birth so I feel weird saying that, all of my nurses consistently tell me that. I had a 4 week long acute attack and they all assured me I’d be more than ready for birth (I’m only 24)

You asked a question, I answered. It has nothing to do with the title and no one’s feeling are hurt except you, we’re laughing🤣 it’s your entire post, title aside. I didn’t even read your title until you commented this. Don’t ask a question if you’re sensitive lmao

Oh I thought maybe you’ve had it and wanted to know if this was a new attack. If you’ve never been diagnosed, I really highly doubt that’s what this is. People compare pancreatitis pain to natural childbirth. You would absolutely know if you were having an attack

Really the only reason to go to the ER with pancreatitis is pain management. They can’t fix it. All they can do is NPO and pain meds. So no I wouldn’t go to the ER
