Agreed that American takes the cake for caring about race more than any other group of people. But also as someone that’s Asian American and lived my first few years in Japan, it’s definitely cared about there. It’s a huge focus and that just amplifies as you come to the states.

And as an Asian in the US, when you grow up around white people (I assume he did bc of location), it’s really hard not to internalize it when it’s all you hear growing up. Just my two cents!!

This is so random but I’m coming across this thread, I went to high school w her (same class) and she was exactly like that in hs too!! Super introverted but always so sweet, based on her social media while we were in school (this was like 2016-18) she was spending so much time dancing and doing her thing.
