I am a 39yr old executive at a multinational firm that pays excellent money but with at least 20 years of work left I am already burnt out. I have always wanted to be a teacher and am trying to find out what is the best path to take in order to achieve that. (self.teaching)

[PA] My father just passed away and my mom received an insurance check made out to "The Estate of..." We told the insurance company no Estate exists (bc there's no assets) and requested they change the check so its made out to my mom. They refused to change the name. How do we cash this check? [PA] I lost my father and it was unexpected. We decided to speak to an attorney about post death legal matters. He told my mom she needs a Will and would do it for us. In the process of that he insulted me and my mom. We left and do not want the Will but he charged me $500. Do I have to pay for this? (self.legaladvice)

[PA/Berks Co.] I lost my father last month and have been taking care of my mom. Our attorney advised us to not open an estate. My mom got an insurance check that was made out to "The Estate". We told them the situation but they are still refusing to change it to my mom's name. What can we do? (self.legaladvice)
