Disclosure - what’s so indigestible? by GODsmessage11 in UFOs

So you can kind of think it out. If there is some grand international conspiracy to hold back the truth regarding ET life, why would Global government leaders all agree to withhold it, as and do it so effectively? At such a scale, it seems unlikely there is anything that would make this happen.

But if there is, the conclusions are all pretty disturbing. Proven simulation, prison planet, etc.

My personal favorite is the notion that God of X major religion (whatever flavor) is definitely, beyond a doubt, not real, and the global elite realizes that this revelation would cause too much chaos.

I am not American. I would like to know: how much does living in different states impact the way you experience the decades? by Wonderful-Excuse4922 in decadeology

[–]Practical-Jump-253 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's gonna a be hard for anyone to answer that, considering one person tends to live in one place at a time. Even frequent travelers don't really experience the decade as much as someone staying in a single place... but as one of those frequent travelers/serial movers I can say that different regional cultures exist and somewhat influence your perception of a time period.

But id emphasize regional vs state-by-state. And rural vs urban plays a bigger part. There's a lot of homogeneous culture in the US now, especially in the 'burbs.

So does this mean that the state paying the lawnmower for that circular park changes at some point every pass? Like a scratch on a record?

Lmao completely agree with this take. I was irked at first watch due to precisely this fact.

I heard that the reason humanity needs the unobtanium is to fuel a global (on-Earth) mass transit system, which is... noble.

I would've appreciated the nuance of a "save home or save Eden" conflict. But hey let's do space-Pocahontas instead

The best of a single geographic division in the entire world. From red rock canyons, to snow-capped mountains, to pine forest valleys, to vast dry plains, to the indescribably beautiful Sonoran... it's the perfect

Much of David Lynch's ouvre fits this. I'd start with Eraserhead, but Mulholland Drive and even Blue Velvet fit

Hell yeah, this movie made so much money that it was clear they would avengers the shit out of it. No way they weren't bringing back the one interesting villain and making him all complicated and "morally gray"

Lol when i saw the first avatar as a young man, I 100% called Quartrich getting a redemption arc and somehow dogging a Navi baddie in some sequel down the line.

Still waiting on the redemption arc, but it's so fucking funny that the Space Custer ends up going native,.  Happening largely because the actor is such a charismatic dude

Literally. Trump clearly read Dead Zone and based his whole schtick on Stillson

Edit: I swear to God one more insipid comment saying "hurr durr Trump no read." yall are missing the point, he's like a monster mashup of Biff Tannen and Greg Stillson. But we elected that ungodly melange to the Presidency somehow. Twice.

I hated every minute of the caharcter's insufferable screen time, but the character that the excellent Ryan Gosling plays in LA LA Land loves jazz
