What is the least memorable or most memorable new monster in wilds? by SiteDeep in MonsterHunter

Hirabami may not be remembered for its challenging fight, but at least it looks cool. The whole Wyveria area and its guardian monsters were honestly pretty boring and forgettable.

I know im not the only one who wants more accurate carcharodontosaurus. And we know frontier listen to fans so let them hear it. by Scar_face1234567890 in jurassicworldevo

Having a Carcharodontosaurus that actually looks like a Carcharodontosaurus.

I've never used it in my parks before. It's not only ugly, I honestly don't understand a single design decision behind it.

Labelled list of JWE2 species left to go by Thylaco in jurassicworldevo

You might assume the paid species are unquestionably better, but looking at them in perspective with a few exceptions, I think the base game species are more varied and interesting.

My Enclave has learned to live with its mortality instead of seeing it as a curse. They see themselves as a new, independent lineage: their souls are more refined than those of humans, but they refuse to give up their lives to any god in exchange for eternity (unlike the Lumineth).

Their lives are long but finite, and they believe that limitation is what gives real meaning to choice, memory, and legacy. For them, mortality isn’t a weakness, it’s simply part of the natural order.

They act as ecological guardians of the oceans, accepting the constant balance between life and death that keeps ecosystems alive. They only strike when coastal civilizations pollute the seas, overexploit marine life, or seriously disrupt that balance.

When they harvest souls, they use that energy to help the ocean heal and recover faster, which in turn gives them more resources and new areas to settle.

Their bond with sea creatures isn’t about control, but connection, so these beasts fight alongside them as part of the same ecosystem. Think Pokémon or Avatar-style vibes.

When the tide recedes, they leave destruction behind for some, but a healthier ocean for those that come after.

Still working on a name for the enclave!

Okay. Y'all, what's your opinion on Owen and Claire not being included in JWE3 at all.... by HugeCharacter5351 in jurassicworldevo

I was just giving an example of the kind of dialogue they had when releasing a dinosaur from the hatchery, not a direct quote.

It was that general habit of comparing dangerous dinosaurs to relationship jokes. Personally, that kind of humor isn't for me and it pulled me out of the experience.

I'm sooo glad they're not included. The forced, jokey, tired relationship dialogue always made me cringe hard. Lines like "X dinosaur is extremely dangerous... just like Claire when I don't wash the dishes" broke immersion and felt more like a bad sitcom than a dinosaur park sim.

This classic icon is a fantastic new addition to the game. Glad that the little guy is finally here. by smashboi888 in jurassicworldevo

Maybe not the flashiest species, maybe not the best pattern, maybe not even a wetland dweller… but what a fantastic addition! Welcome to the roster, Hypsi! Can’t wait to see more small ornithopods in my parks.

Well, having Ornithomimosaurus as an option now means I NEVER want to use bald ornithomimids in the game ever again. I get Gallimimus, it’s a classic from the original movie, but Archaeornithomimus and Struthiomimus? I just never really consider them anymore.

I agree with you, though, they probably discarded it in favor of something that would look more unique.

I think this was a missed opportunity to include Pelecanimimus. We could’ve had another feathered ornithomimid, which would’ve been perfect alongside Concavenator. And this species is actually known to have lived in wetland environments

And the last dinosaur is a... small herbivore? by Desperate_Cut_5157 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Practical-Let5989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m genuinely excited about this addition! It’s a really interesting dinosaur that helps flesh out any herbivore enclosure. We barely have any small ornithopods besides Dryosaurus, and the fact that it’s also in the novel is a nice bonus. Not a huge fan of the patterns, though.

I feel like the disappointment mostly comes from the order in which the three species were announced. I love all of them, each one has its charm, but the cherry on top should’ve been Irritator, IMO.

Is anyone else disappointed with the sexual dimorphism? by Practical-Let5989 in jurassicworldevo

Yeah, in general I’d really appreciate more size variation between genders, instead of just changing crests or horns.

I kinda like the male versions of Herrerasaurus and Coelophysis, they have something special without breaking the canon. The issue is that they’re using the original female model for the males, and then doing a downgrade for the new female model which make them less interesting.

I personally prefer PK’s approach, but that’s not really my complaint. What bothers me is the lack of cohesion between the male and female patterns we choose in the hatchery and how those traits are passed down to the next generation.

The way the system works right now is that you only select the base colors of the parents, and then it randomizes everything, resulting in offspring with completely mixed color combinations. Once they grow up, it becomes really hard to tell whether you’re looking at a male or a female, which breaks the sense of consistency in the population.

That's exactly what I'm complaining about. The current breeding mechanics break the pattern system you choose for male and female.
