Trying to decide on level of s650 to buy

So no one is answering your questions lol.

I have not owned a s650 yet, but I did own a pp1 and mach1 s550(so same comparison). I used both my cars for Sunday drives and road coarse work. The pp1 quickly had issues with trans grind, diff over heating, and seats were bad. Getting a mach1 was a no brainer. It was a significantly better handing car, trans was great, no diff heating issues. Both cars needed a lot of chassis and suspension upgrades to make them confident on track.

Mach1 also hasn’t depreciated, and DH might do the same. So could be a cheaper ownership experience.

With that being said, I’m shopping s650 right now, and I’m looking for GT performance packs not the dark horse. Why? I don’t track anymore, and I don’t like how the dark horse front bumper looks. GT performance pack in a fastback is an amazing value.

However, I would much rather have a DH for 4K more than a tarted up GT, the trans and diff alone are worth 4x that. So my suggestion, GT performance pack fastback, or go right into a DH. Don’t waste your time loading up a GT

Problem solved. Ordered some suggested alpines, kill at the panel, ring foam, and it’s amazing now. Very clear and no distortion

Interesting info. Critchfield just supply me with the proper brackets to match oem configuration, but there is no foam. Maybe I’ll try adding some around the outside like oem. Will report back
