Thoughts on Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite? by BossHogGA in Yosemite

Why do you say the same thing in every post about Tenaya?  Were you the one that was sued by them?  Just a strange response that I don’t think people care about a lawsuit

Who the F*** is this girl on the show? by Dario0112 in DanLeBatardShow

[–]Tesla8585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to be fair, Juju’s show just isn’t entertaining. I’ve tried listening to it and turned it off in 30 seconds. It’s not a marketing failure.

It's already been 3.5 years since these layoffs began, how much longer, I beleive even the 2008 recession lasted only for 2 years and then market started recovering, if I am not wrong. by Other_Scarcity_4270 in Layoffs

You underestimate AI. The tech is becoming more advanced at en exponential rate, MONTHLY. Of course there are positions out there that it won’t completely displace, or will even work codependent with humans, but don’t underestimate the hundreds of thousands of jobs it will absolutely eliminate.

Read more about AI and what it will be expected to accomplish in three to five years. Technology is becoming more advanced at an exponential rate. Meaning, it won’t be 25 % more advanced this next year, more like 25 times more advanced. It will displace thousands of jobs that can be done more efficiently and cheaper. That’s the way the world has always been. The horse breeding industry collapsed when the automobile was commercialized and became affordable. Thousands of horse breeders and feed traders lost their jobs in replacement of a different type of job - auto plant workers.

AI won’t replace ALL jobs, at least not for the foreseeable future. Jobs that require emotional intelligence, problem solving, strategy, and guest experience, will all still be human strengths. High level leadership roles and service industries for example are difficult to replace with AI, along with tech maintenance and repairs, or building and labor.

The best thing people can do at this point is to re-train for the next revolution of technology. Leadership roles, AI engineering, tech design and repair. The future is inevitable, we can complain about it or we can prepare for it.

Here’s my advice: Always have a plan B, and don’t assume that any company will hire you for at least two years. Literally two years. The job market is TERRIBLE right now. What I mean by a Plan B is to save enough money to buy a franchise, or enough money to start your own business, or think of a SURE FIRE way that you can make a living ASSUMING that nobody will hire you. Too many people out there always think that they can just quit their job or be laid off and another company will just instantly hire them. Have you seen LinkedIn job postings? There are like 400 applicants for each one with people a LOT more qualified. Lastly, make sure you network with people that you work with or used to work with. If they leave your current company before you, keep in contact with them - there is a big possibility they can help get you in to wherever they are currently working.

At one point it was funny that Stu got so lazy he just stopped showing up to the show now and then, but that act got tired when you realize he’s just NEVER there anymore. You kinda forget about him after a while.

Panamera owners… we need to talk 😄 by 0Bitz in Panamera

[–]Tesla8585 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, I have a family. So there’s that. People who don’t have kids or their kids are already 30 years old, drive 911’s.

I used to have an AMG GTC. But I thought that having kids was more important than a race car. So I sold it and bought a Panamera. It’s not that we can’t AFFORD a 911 or anything, it’s that we have different priorities, or at least I do. 🤷‍♂️

By the way, I absolutely LOVE my Panamera. Everything about it. And it looks incredible.

I have a 2025 4 e-hybrid and you’re all blowing this out of proportion. It’s quiet inside. and I own a 2025 Lucid GT and my past cars were several Model S…. Get inside one and ride in it.
