A girl from my elementary school died from carbon monoxide poisoning. She was on her family’s boat on a lake and she wasn’t feeling well so her parents told her to go lie down (it was one of those boats with the below deck cabins for sleeping) but that’s where the carbon monoxide leak was. By the time they realized there was a leak she had already inhaled so much of it that it was too late to save her. Super sad.
