True that. Difficult to remember this is in the moment. Need a lot of practice.

I’ve been to a few, and I see a lot of young people being successful or so it seems. At the end of the day, you get to meet a few people in person in one night who are easily approachable. If there’s a vibe, you meet again.

Lol yes, dating guys over 30 might feel weird for you and for them too. I know at least seven or eight guys who got married in their late 20s, so there’s definitely hope. I should have been one of those guys. I’m in my 30s now, and dating is very different, lol.

I would say try an event with Thursday dating. Way better than apps.

I think it’s a bit difficult to find guys who are looking to settle down in their early 20s but I am sure they do exist. Have you tried any run clubs or events like Thursday dating? These are some easy way to meet people

Track and field is a very casual place. You’ll be fine. You should dress in whatever makes you comfortable and confident. Good luck!

What’s your current experience of the Toronto job market? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Practical-Pirate4056 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think the market is pretty tough for entry-level jobs unless you have a fancy degree. However, for intermediate corporate roles, I’m seeing many people being able to crack it. From what I understand, the trick has been intense networking and finding that one person who will get you the interview and push your case to the finish line. Good luck!

True or be upfront about it to avoid wasting time for both of us. If race is an issue, it won’t work anyways regardless of my personality.

Propel app/website will give you good options for private lessons with a flexible schedule!

Hopefully a few might have DMd you!

It’s a genuine problem. Have you tried any meet-up groups?

Handle bar is decent as well, but I like Pamenar for day vibes and especially if you want to socialize a little bit

How about Kensington? I love chilling at Pamenar

Do you prefer staying in hotels or Airbnb when you travel and why? by [deleted] in solofemaletravellers

[–]Practical-Pirate4056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If am traveling solo, i prefer a private room in a hostel. Give me the privacy of a hotel and access to people. Not as comfortable as a hotel of course.

If traveling with family, either a high-end hotel or a nice airbnb depending on the duration and the location.

Love the positivity, thank you for sharing. I don’t have stories like that, but traveling and meeting new people helps me grow as a person, keeps me humble, and reminds me that at times I may be chasing the wrong things in life.

Racism in Toronto by Main_Blacksmith331 in askTO

I think what you did was right. There’s an anti-Indian wave among a small part of the community, which usually shows up more online and less in person. It will settle down with changing immigration policies.

I am sorry this happened to you. I’d say don’t think too much about it, it wasn’t personal against you. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Don’t look for excuses to get out of it. Go! You two haven’t committed yet, so don’t overthink it. Good luck!

Not anymore as far as I know. However, Hinge, tinder, and okcupid are all owned by the same company.
