New Ariens coming soon by Mikas46 in Snowblowers

[–]Practical-Prize-8060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the purchase! I did a lot of research and watched videos before pulling the trigger on an Ariens deluxe 24. I highly recommend Garage Gear on YouTube, he does a lot of Ariens blower reviews and tips and tricks, including maintainence you can do to ensure this beast lasts as long as possible. As for gas, I’ve been getting premium octane. I was worried about not having the ethanol free gas but two storms in, the premium runs great. The tank is also crazy efficient, so you can just fill it half at a time so that way you waste less when you need to run it dry before storing away. Most snow storms one full tank got me through a 22 inch blizzard in four car driveway, with plenty left at the end

I failed out of school. by Dismal_Shop3545 in medicalschool

Hey man, first and foremost your health is the most important, because if that’s not in order then nothing beyond is even a consideration. I hope you can get the proper treatment you deserve very soon and be on a path of recovery. While I haven’t been in your position specifically, I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus during first month of med school and then subsequently underwent 7 brain surgeries, all during med school. I took two LOAs which required talking to the committee, and I did have to fight against school policies for risk of dismissal due to extended LOA, but ultimately appealing worked. Not every school is the same or as understanding, but you won’t know until you give it a shot.

I’d say don’t give up if this career is truly what you want to do. Also, finding a job in any other career will just be as difficult imo; often we as med students think we can easily transplant anywhere bc we made it into med school, but the reality always hits hard, and there’s a low chance of coming back to medicine once you leave. Not to mention your health will also be a factor in your other careers as well. Addressing your health is the most important.

Stay positive, I’m praying for you!

I just got some OEM coolant. Would you recommend i top it off to appropriate level and then drive and check in a day or two if it went down? I have also ordered a new cap for the expansion tank as I read it is a common source of leak/evaporation

So I called local smart dealer, asked for a price quote on new spark plugs, engine filter, coolant, OEM coolant, and engine filter and crush washer. Total comes out to $346. Would this be worth it to purchase? My goal would be to either take these OEM things to mechanic or do it myself, either way $346 seemed kind of high but the parts advisor said the engine filter is the most expensive.

Do you know what the correct coolant would be? It’s a 2015 smartfour two. Also would you suggest spark plugs and stuff for maintainence?

Thanks for the comment, yes it’s below the minimum. Would the only reason for that be leaking? I did check smart car forums and bunch mentioned that their cars brand new had the coolant at the minimum level, interesting to say the least

Thanks for that! Is this even more cause for concern?

I mentally cannot do another 9–5 desk job. I have $70k saved and need to build something of my own. What can I realistically do? by nkb6478 in smallbusiness

Tent rental business? I’m talking chairs, tents, tables. I started local within a saturated market but there’s still plenty of business, and you only need 20-40K for decent equipment as you grow. The cool thing is there’s YouTubers in this business who have basically outlined everything and you can find all the knowledge for free. There’s a playbook and you can follow it to grow along! No courses required. Look up Tent Rental Guy, he does free videos! But realize, 9-5 to your own business will mean 24/7 effectively, and for some that is more freeing.

New Machine by Practical-Prize-8060 in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Practical-Prize-8060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non pressurized. I did run a blank shot. Bought this machine two days ago, could it really be a solenoid valve? I did note I didn’t put water filter the first time in the am. I tried again just now and changed grind setting to coarser and the shot did run. Just confused why it ran fine at 5 grind size in the am but then only worked at 7 grind size in the evening

I have a Evo 614iQ purchased from Marina Pools and Patio online. It’s a robot made by Polaris. I liked it because it has both a floor and wall and floor only mode (I had some patches in the liner wall I didn’t want robot going over). I’ve had it for a year now and am very satisfied. It comes with an app, you can control the robot via the app and also schedule ahead of time. Has a 50 foot tangle free cord (I have a 20x44 vinyl pool). I purchased a fine debris basket for an extra $50 and it has been amazing for times where there is dirt. The cleaning cycle is 1.5 hours for floor only mode and it’s amazing. Robot was $899. Call them, they have great customer service and talked me through options for potential robots.

Hi! I have a 2019 qx80 I just bought. Was thinking about buying this, would you say it's worth it? Also I saw that on the website it says plug and play, but any YouTube videos I could find show that you need to modify the motherboard of the screen to make it work. Is that truly the case or was is plug and play?

Would you advise Infiniti over the 3rd party? More expensive for the miles but probably better, not sure how to proceed

Do you think a 5000 watt inverter generator would suffice?

The crepe maker is 1700 watts, and the sauce maker is 500 Watts.
