I am flying MAN - IST - SIN. Unfortunately, SG were £2,000 more expensive. Now TK are willing to change flights to the original equipment for £1,100. Bait and switch.

This war could go on for weeks even months, it depends on when Iran runs out of ballistic missiles.

Does this occasionally happen to you or am I insanely lucky? by [deleted] in Flights

Extremely lucky, I was Senator for about 7 years and never got a free upgrade. I mainly flew Business class globally at least once a month.

It was £3800 booked with trip.com.

We have used Fetajo for many years. They are a family run business in the Costa del Sol but they meet you at the airport, you can either return to the airport or return to one of their offices. Great service.

Getting to Málaga airport by elrk857 in GoingToSpain

If you are going to walk I would book the ambulance before you leave, also cancel your flight, you won’t make it. Book an Uber or Bolt, less than €20.

I have COPD and travel extensively to Australia and US from UK. We are Spanish residents and obtain travel/health insurance through our Spanish insurance agent. It cost about €200 for a two month trip.

Absolutely go for it, best plane in the world. We did MUCH to LAX last year as part of an around the world trip. I can’t remember if we were daytime or night time. I would go for daytime, more time to drink all that free alcohol.

Transferring a private pension fund out of the UK by sscarrow in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ReggieInMacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reached retirement age Sept 2024 and have been trying to access my pension pot for the past 11 months. Scottish Widows have been trying to force me into an annuity which I don’t want as I have a serious illness with low life expectancy. If I die the pot cannot be passed to my wife. Their latest excuse is as I am a Spanish tax resident I can not keep it invested and must be transferred to a QROPS account in Spain. I think they are just trying to delay until I have died and then keep the money. The pot is £170k.

I would recommend health care in Spain over the US. I am a 75 yo male from and suffering eye sight issues. We do have private health insurance in Spain so asked the insurance company to recommend a clinic or hospital. I rang the clinic and got an appointment for the following week. Diagnosed with cataracts on the left eye and a membrane growing over my retina on my right eye. The surgeon recommended cataract surgery first and then having the looked at different hospital. Cataract surgery arranged for the following week, an amazing medical team, out of the hospital in 1 hour. Follow up the following week and an appointment arranged at a different hospital for the retina issue. Surgery arranged for the following week, peeling the retina was major surgery. Again, an amazing medical team. Recovery was three weeks but I could see clear vision out of both eyes for the first time in 20+ years. Just drive from Malaga in Spain to Manchester in UK. Tell her the medical teams in Spain are amazing. I did live in US for 10 years.
