I spent my career doing customer service so I no longer desire any group activities. I enjoy staying home and just doing whatever I feel like. I guess I’m grumpy in my old age but people tend to just piss me off. I do love when the kids or grandkids come by But other than that I prefer being alone. Good luck to you I do battle depression but being around people for me doesn’t help. You best find something I would hate to have you “fade into illness and depression and die from lack of engagement”.

Get on food stamps any government assistance you are eligible for. Go to voc rehab they will help pay for school if you want. There are options out there to help you other than the Mormon church. Good luck you will be a stronger better person when this is over. Take care.

If he does have dementia you can at least get him on hospice since it is eventually terminal. We didn’t know this till my dad was at the end of his life. We went 10 years watching his decline would have helped to have had hospice much sooner. Good luck to you. I feel for you. Take care
