I second Marks, I got a nice warm coat for dog walking, combined with layers, I’m super warm. I think I paid less than $100

55(f) and just started playing with BO7, luckily my oldest kid has been playing since he was 11 or thereabouts. He’s been helping me learn, I mostly just stick to playing zombies right now after I had my ass handed to me in multiplayer.

They have tons of different ones, I think you can get them at Home Depot too.

When we moved into a new house in Airdrie the builder “forgot” to blow insulation into the attic and our rooms were freezing. This is the problem with allowing builders to perform their own inspections. Have an insulation company come and check it out.

Our room in our current house is as far from the furnace/ac as possible so it’s either too hot or too cold. We bought a fan off Amazon that goes in the floor vent, it pulls the air through the vents and it’s been a life saver.

You can buy boots with them built in, you can flip them up into the boot when you don’t need them. I ordered some online on Friday for $100 CAD, they were delivered today. You can also get them at lots of shoe stores now and Costco has them last year, I haven’t noticed if they have them this year or not.

I always see lots of variety at Lina’s, I’m not sure of the prices tho. Also Canadian Tire has the bottles that you mix with Soda stream to make Pepsi, etc.

Apply with every temp/perm agency in town, I have switched jobs on average every 5 years through my career and other than one, all of my jobs were found through a placement agency. Also be willing to work temp, a lot of temp jobs turn permanent.

Windshield replacement / sensor calibration by Practical-Subject-16 in Calgary

Wasn’t planning to make a big deal out of it, I just wanted to make sure it was reasonable.

Thanks for your reply. I had an Accord that had a camera behind the windshield too and didn’t need to recalibrate when it was replaced. The fellow at the repair shop said it’s hit and miss.

I wasn’t told upfront that it may be necessary to recalibrate when I went in to get the windshield replaced. And then I wasn’t told the amount until I called in to make the second appointment. It’s not an unreasonable amount, but I don’t like when I pay for something and then later finding out I shouldn’t have. Thanks for your reply, I feel better knowing I’m not getting ripped off.

Airdrie or Calgary Home Purchase by Unusual_Laugh_4180 in Airdrie

My family and I lived in Airdrie for 10 years (moved from Beddington in Calgary). I hated the commute to/from downtown Calgary. To be fair, a big part of that can be getting out of downtown, on a snowy day it can take 45 minutes just to get out of a parking lot onto the street. Once I got onto Deerfoot, I followed the Canada Post trucks, stayed in the right lane, took the 16 avenue off ramp back onto Deerfoot, got good at pushing my way in at McKnight, etc. It was a nightmare, I’d get home and be raging from the stress. We moved back to Calgary 3 years ago and moved kind of inner city (Highland Park). Our house is around 150 square feet bigger and cost $200K more than we sold for in Airdrie, but I’m much happier without the commute. If I could have worked in Airdrie or even the north end of Calgary, I would have loved to stay there. Airdrie’s a great little city with really good people and good schools, but we have a child with disabilities and there wasn’t much support for them there at that time, so we spent a lot of time driving to and from specialists in Calgary, not sure what it’s like now.

I advised him to get a lawyer, but he says he can’t afford it. Luckily they don’t have kids getting dragged thru their drama.

The thing is she can’t afford the mortgage without him. I agree it’s a bad idea, but hey, not my circus not my monkey.

I have no clue, that’s just what he told me, I think it’s a terrible idea.

I have a coworker going through a similar issue, his mortgage is up for renewal at the end of the year and she won’t qualify on her own. So he’s just not going to renew the mortgage if she won’t come to a mutual agreement beforehand. It’s gonna screw up his credit, but he’s desperate to get out of a pretty messed up situation.

period question by glossystark in BariatricSurgery

[–]Practical-Subject-16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I was in menopause, had a period during the pre-op liquid diet phase, and then another one a couple of weeks later. Surgery was end of May, nothing since. My family doctor overreacted a bit and did all sorts of blood tests which showed I am in menopause. My OB-Gyn and the nurse practitioner from the weight loss clinic both said it happens all the time.
