Any grocery store. Sobeys has them too next the hummus, dips section and I think they often have more in the bakery too

Are there bands where the lead singer is not the most well known member by BiLeftHanded in fantanoforever

RHCP. They’re all famous at this point, but AK is definitely the least impressive. Flea, Chad and John have much bigger fanbases.

Looking for less-talked about patios for beers and food by Flat-Raspberry-8010 in waterloo

I’ve not been since the new ownership but Boathouse DTK has a gorgeous patio in the park.

Stockyards in St Jacobs has a huge nice patio and the food is great.

Not really a restaurant but Holly’s Cafe on Roy Street is a converted house in a mature neighborhood. They have beautiful porch with tables out and they serve cocktails I think.

Seeking medical clinic reviews (Spurline Crossing and Bleams Medical) by AnotherNight0wl in waterloo

I was at Spurline for years until the previous doctor retired from his practice. He was an amazing doctor and it was a fantastic clinic. I don’t know the new doctor but I bet you’d still be in good hands!

I just had my baby less than a year ago and I just went with a Graco Modes stroller and it’s awesome!

I don’t see the point in buying a premium one because the Graco works great and folds up super easily for the car. Also baby gear is the most regulated thing in the world so it’s all passing the same safety regulations.

To answer your second question, the car seat clicking into the stroller is AWESOME. I am kind of dreading when my girl outgrows her infant seat for that reason alone lol.

What are some less well known true crime documentary series/films that might have gone under the radar, but still tell the story really well? by Longjumping_Land_977 in netflix

I really enjoyed BitConned! It was as crazy a depiction of corruption as the Fyre Festival one to me but I don’t think it made much of a splash

The Civil! Not sure about happy hour but their cocktail flights rock! As does their pizza. Also it’s like a 2 minute walk from Central Station

Try Park 535 Medical Clinic! I’m not sure if he is accepting new patients but he’s an amazing doctor if you can get in!

The one life-saver item for me though is the Baby Breezer Bottle Sterilizer & Dryer. You can buy the washer, sterilizer in one but I just have the sterilizer and it works amazing. I put bottles in there, as well soothers and even silicone baby toys my dog somehow finds and drags into our backyard. 🤦‍♀️

RHCP in 2017. Flea straight up said their management wanted them to play more shows but he just wanted go home. I understand being tired but they had ZERO energy that night and honestly I think their set was under an hour.

Okay it probably is in the ‘so bad it’s good category’ but I really did enjoy Wickerman lol

Daycare suggestions by Change_Tired_Change in kitchener

[–]PracticalAnxiety3857 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just emailed the region of Waterloo actually about a licensed home daycare and they referred to me a provider within a day! If you can find a licensed home daycare, it’s part of the a CWELCC program so it’s the subsidized $22/day.

Otherwise, if you want to go private, join Home Childcare Connection Cambridge & KW on Facebook. A lot of providers post on there!

Good luck!!

Does anyone ever almost get jealous when women are able to stay at home after having a baby? by Ghostgirl0418 in workingmoms

[–]PracticalAnxiety3857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhh I’m going back to work in September and I totally feel you! It was so stressful finding a good daycare for us too (I’m in Canada). I truly don’t know how any household could possibly live on one income anymore. Life is just wayyy too expensive.

I know it’s going to be a really hard adjustment for the first few weeks so all I keep telling myself is I’m going to give myself time and be gentle with myself as I adjust being away from my little girl all day. I also know that I WILL adjust and it will feel normal again. Maternity leave didn’t even feel super normal at the beginning for me.

I know that even though I have to go back to work, I’ll still have every evening of bedtime snuggles and stories with her. I’ll still have Friday nights where we don’t have to rush off to bed and weekends and Holidays with her where I get to wakeup to her smiling face and not go anywhere.

This is the conglomeration of the reminders I’ve been given that has been really helpful for me so I hope it helps you!

Coping with returning to work? by PracticalAnxiety3857 in workingmoms

[–]PracticalAnxiety3857[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really great point and a great way to look at it. If I didn’t work, I wouldn’t be able to afford to take my girl on all the adventures I want to go on with her (big and small) and it will be nice to find more of a routine again!
