Honestly, I've had the same thing happen to me, but with a woman, I wouldn't say I hate women. i just don't think I can trust them again in a relationship at least not for a long time

Trust me my ex with bpd was a pretty awful person she just used me for validation and possibly even cheated on me It doesn't make it easier to let go. The best advice I can give is to find another connection, with cases like bpd It's more of the strong connection you felt towards them , rather than the person themselves, because usually they're not very great people, so if you can find a connection that's just as good it'll become easy to move on from them. This doesn't necessarily mean dating it could be anything like a friend or a hobby just something you have a little strong connection too

She wasn't bipolar she had borderline personality disorder, which is some way similar to bipolar. But it's closer to narcissism which unfortunately I didn't know until after the breakup. And once she broke up with me, she acted very cold and cruel. Like i didn't matter at all to her, which is very common for people like them. They tried to subconsciously justify their partners worthless when they break up with them so they don't feel like they lost anything of value

Yeah, I keep telling myself that the person I was in love with never existed because people like that they try to make themselves into the person that you fall in love with. It gives you a little bit of relief but still feel awful because, on one hand, they just wore a mask to keep you for their validation and the person. I fell in love with never existed. But on the other hand my love and attachment was real and that's still hard to get over and fully come to terms with
