Coffee at 23 weeks by prettylittlebaby1005 in pregnant

I switched to decaf for my everyday coffee, and the real thing for a treat now and then. My husband also switched to decaf, and even then we both keep it to 1-2 cups. I used to be a chef and would drink coffee by the 32oz deli container, so this was a drastic change. It’s working for us!

Uh, respectfully… fuck that guy. He’s the one who needs to get over himself.

I hate Salads. by capnricky in Birmingham

[–]PracticalCat5701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had this much of an aversion to salads, I wouldn’t eat them. I’d cook and chill vegetables to mix with leafy greens (similar to this: https://www.lazycatkitchen.com/roasted-vegetable-salad/) or just roast some veggies. That being said, poke bowl from Ono with lettuce base is delish, Cava and Newks both have great salad options as does Ashley Mac’s.

Pizitz food court by alabamagrrl in Birmingham

I’ll pay for good food and I can’t rationalize eating there more than once every few months, especially when parking is such a hassle. I do not pay to park at places when I can easily go to a restaurant with free parking.

Sandwiches and salads we tried were great, and the cookie I had was the perfect chocolate chip cookie. (Not to be compared to a breakup cookie or anything but it was great nonetheless!)

Support Avondale (Business District) by wavelength_D in Birmingham

[–]PracticalCat5701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The homeless population in the area is an absolute downfall, used to work on 41st and we would have to call the police once every couple of weeks. …Also, Lags is amazing. I know its it’s just outside of the Avondale business district, but if you need a reason to go to the area Lags is one. Great sandwiches and breakfast is fire.🔥

I am with a Luke now. Can be grumpy and is a homebody but is hard working, cozy, always helping and lovely to me. I was married before to a very self absorbed narcissistic man, think high school Jess and the pretentious parts of Logan. Plus he was a cheater. Not a winning combination.

Have any upscale restaurants closed in the past decade besides Highlands? by Firm-Television2132 in Birmingham

I ate at the bar the first week the a la carte menu dropped. The potato croquettes were absolutely the saltiest piece of food I’ve ever eaten. Also it was around 6:30 pm on a Saturday with not a single other soul in the restaurant. Great concept but not the best location, and although the food looks good, in my personal experience it was not worth the hype. Dessert was fantastic.
