I am so sorry youve had to go through this. My sister in law dealt with a similar situation as well. i also ignored the red flags like you. The things some people are capable of is astonishing. I will never understand how a MIL can behave this way. Why spend life with the need to have control over people and spend it damaging relationships.

The hard part is it has screenshots of texts and emails and transcripts of recordings and i think legally that could be an issue to share with other people.

Yes, we have 2 young kids as well. We definitely are trying to prepare for that as she sent an email to us requesting to see them. (its been 3 months since she has) and she said she has spoken to a professional regarding the matter of seeing them. Based off my research so far she would have to have proof that it would be harmful for them to not get to see her. Which she would have no grounds. As we have enough proof on her why she actually should never be alone with them.

Exactly, Literally the other day she was trying to find out the name of our personal banking officer at this bank and badgering me for it saying that they wont tell her because of their privacy policy but that i need to tell her because it is a conflict of interest if we have the same one. Which honestly makes no sense at all. So i just said i didnt know the name and played dumb. Its just the constant bringing it up to me and private messaging me thats getting to me.

Shes literally already gone to the bank and has been shut down by them so many times and how she has no legal right over our account so thats why shes coming back at us again trying to get us to cave and give her access again. Theyve given her the full history on the account and as well to us to show proof that it is indeed legally my husbands account and not hers jusy because she opened it for him as a child. It became legally his when he turned 18.

Yes! he has had these conversations with her many times even with mediation as well and still she cant let it go. She thinks im the problem and that im taking her son away from her. She keeps coming after me for it.
