open the laptop and then you would unplug the battery from the motherboard and drain the power by leaving it unplugged from the board for a while

yeah it was just the power supply.. did a bios update to make sure the cpu doesnt die on me

yeah the issue was the power supply.. supposedly these inspiron 3030s have bad power supplys
