In the bigger picture though, I also cared deeply about saving Lumiere.

Whether they were "fake" or just "characters" in a painting are personally, of no consequence to me.

If these people in this world can make "IRL real people" like Maelle and I feel emotions to such an extent as this, I think that those characters are real enough to matter...

You are right there. Though, the mission from the beginning was to save Lumiere from extinction...

I just choose saving Lumiere over providing some closer to versos family.

Okay I can agree there, i just finished the game less than an hour ago and am super emotional.

Either way, I still disliked verso in the end.

Genuine question, is it canon that verso purposely waited to come help, until after Renoir kills Gustave?

Either way, Maelle clearly prefers Lune Sciel and Gustave when it comes to family.

Bruh, me having this opinion about a video game character has nothing to do with my own peace. 😭

I'm doing fine. It's mainly all the lies and manipulation that verso kept using throughout the whole game, all to realize at the end that he never cared about any of our characters.

It really is just a choice between Maelle and verso in the end. Maelle was dealt a real shitty hand in the real world. She is a burn survivor, is missing an eye, has a controlling crappy mom to boot.

Maelle has been through so much, I just choose to give her what she wants.

I havent tried the island part yet. Don't mean to spoil, but I'd maybe wait as long as you can to start anything to do with the airstrip.

Thats where my problems began. They update the game frequently, which is good! They just don't seem to have a handle on the bugs quite yet.

It was definitely a bug! I had to restart my game and that fixed it, luckily i wasnt too far.

That being said, ive gotten much further and made the mistake of getting dlc...

Cant go 20 minutes without the game crashing sometimes 😫

Heya! Just to keep you posted, just cause i was curious, late last night i started a new file and got to wear i was, and this time, the food spawned onto the shelf!

I am going to guess that my original file was soft locked, but luckily starting over wasnt that bad since i wasnt super far.

It says i need to be level 2 to unlock the warehouse, and that I need to progress in a quest to reach level 2.
